wierd right click problem in XP

HI guys, I wonder if anyone has run into this... yesterday, for no apparent reason, the default 'double click' for folders produced the search option rather than the default 'open' option. Also, if i right click on a folder, I get the usual menu, but instead of 'open, search, explore' in...

E6400 Retail Overclocking

Hmm: I may be completely off the wall with this one, but... from what Gary says the 6600 are hitting a mem strap at 410 on G3's. [The E6600s and up are different animals on this board. I will post some E6600 results in a couple of days. Due to the 4MB cache and hitting the 1066 memory...

Thanks for the thoughts guys. the PSU was 400, so OK there (the second one I tried was 350). Ebuyer have finally taken it back, though if they find a fault on the CPU they'll probably charge me a re-packing fee for the Mobo!!! well, there's always PCworld....

I wondered that too at first, but the same thing happened when the Mobo was unmounted from the case, ie- powered up lying on some of that 'insulation' plastic wrap that the componants come in (on top of some bubble wrap and a wooden table). MW

Problem with my Dad's work comp

help please!!! Just put together an ASUS P4pe/l/gd Skt478 I845pe with a pentium P4 2.53G. THe system ran (surge preotected) for about 5 secs before the fuse to the PSU blew. unmounting the Mobo/CPU from the case and disconnecting everything, I eventually found that the Mobo would fire up with...
