Laptop won't boot

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried this and it did not work. When I reseated the ram I had to unplug the AC and the battery. I've also confirmed that the issue is not with the AC adapter as the plug lights up blue. This is frustrating! Any other ideas? Thanks!

With the markup on all 8800 GT (256 & 512MB variants) I only paid 30 dollars more for my GTS on the G92 core..

Can a pulsating PSU damage my hardware?

I would stay away from using your computer until you can get the power supply fixed. What are your system specs? Everyone forgets about power supplies when they build systems. I would stick with a Seasonic power supply. You pay a little more but you will get a quality psu that will last you a...

You are correct atybimf. For some reason I couldn't find the -430 on newegg (base price estimate I am using) when I initially looked. Also, the Seasonic 430 DOES work quite well in the P180..I am using it in mine right now :) This does NOT have to be a "quiet/silent" pc as I would replace...

Instead of the Zalman this is the better solution: -Scythe Ninja with a Yate Loon fan pushing air down from the top of the P-180 and a Yate Loon fan pushing air out the back of the case. Near silent/passive cpu cooling. This person is building it themselves so I am also trying to keep it...

I would overclock to my hearts content but this will not be my pc. I was looking at the DFI merely as I have built around 50 pc's and there was a time when I had a lot of DOA Asus boards (A7n8x). I'll take a look at the A8N. Thanks for the suggestions.

DPAD Daily Stats - 20.12.2005

If you have 2 cores or HT (so 2 virtual cores) you can set Dpad to run on one core (set threads = 1) and I presume you can set boinc to use only 1 cpu or only 50% of your resources...

If you use itunes you can merely import all your mp3's. I suggest asking around and getting a much better program. I use Ephpod with my 60gb NON-video ipod. Itunes refused to transfer 1500 of my mp3's... Also, as far as I know, movies must be in Apple's format...Quicktime. But don't hold me...

Strange "grinding" noise from intake fan
