Geforce MX2 : OpenGL good, D3D bad

Hi I've got a 3D Prophet Geforce2 MX. All opengl games run fine, but everything that uses Direct 3D is VERY slow. ( 3D Mark score : 600 ) What could cause this? some specs: - P3 550 - MSI 6163 VA (Via chipset) - 196Mb ram I have DirectX8 installed btw ... Any help appreciated Davy

What is cas2?????

I have a Via chipset and you can set the memory to medium, fast, turbo ... Are you talking about the same thing? Davy

What are acceptable temperature ranges for a coppermine? I'm asking this because I just had a crash at a cpu temp of 53°C and i'd like to know if heat is the problem. Davy
