My undergrad text was "The Science and Engineering of Microelectronic Fabrication", by S. Campbell. I thought it was pretty good. It gave a good overview of how different systems and tools in the semiconductor fabrication process work conceptually (including ion implanters). To be honest, I...
As someone that lived in Hendrick House...don't. If I had to do it again, I'd probably live in Bromley...lots of social people, good location, not too expensive (if I remember). I loved UIUC...it was hard but had the time of my life.
Yep, Si is going to be around for awhile. Halfnium alleviates some of the problems industry has run into with leakage problems from shrinking feature sizes. If you want to look at a possibility for replacing Si in the future (~20 years from now), graphene may be an option...
I was at that show last night in Copenhagen...really really good. The live stuff was good, for the most part, and they played some rare tracks (Black Star and Let Down hadn't been played since 1998).
I would go to a local tennis center and demo a racket...where I work you can demo a racket for 48 hrs for $3, and then that price comes off the racket if you buy it. But, try out a few different ones, and ask a pro at the place to take a look at your swing. They'll usually do it for free and...
I'm at UIUC, I was considering transferring into the business school last year. From what I could tell it's not that difficult to transfer, the guy I spoke with was telling me the process of transferring almost as if I would definitely be accepted (that's w/~3.5 in electrical engineering, so...
I'm out of state at UIUC and know I made the right choice. I was in Comp. E and transferred to EE so I have some perspective on the department if you want to know anything. It sucks to pay the out of state tuition, but it's worth it in my opinion.
I'm a soph in ECE at UIUC right now, if you have any questions you can ask me...as for tranferring into comp e., all I've heard is that it's difficult to do. For what it's worth I'm definitely glad I went there even with the out of state tution I'm paying
Anybody ever had any odd jobs for the summer or otherwise? One I've had is throwing newspapers at 2 in the morning. Great pay, kinda bad hours depending on how you look at it. And yes, I realize this will probably turn into a discussion about male gigolos or something like that. So be it...
My cat has a thing w/plastic bags too...during the middle of the night she'll grab a plastic bag, bring it down the stairs, and drop it right outside of my door. Some mornings I wake up and there are 4 or 5 bags sitting outside my room hehe. She also brings me gloves, scarves, and socks while...
I'm building a new comp w/the IC7 and it says not to use a 3.3 V graphics card. My 9800 is on the way, but I wanted to test out my system and have a Radeon 32MB DDR card available to use. Anybody know the voltage on this or a way to find out? Thx
Well guys thanks for your help...turns out that I found someone locally to buy my gift cards from me. So, I'm gonna go with the SLK3700AMB. Should run pretty cool
Ok, here's the deal. I'll be building a new comp w/a 2.4C and 9800 non pro soon, and I of course wanna overclock those as much as possible. I was almost set on getting the Antec Lanboy until I read that it didn't cool very well. What case do you guys recommend for good cooling? Now before...
I just thought I'd let you guys know that there is a discount on all tv's online at bestbuy.com $299 and up. The 27AF42 is now $425.99 without tax. With tax, it came out to $454.00 for me...not too much more than when the deal was going on earlier. Although it doesn't have the free shipping...
