To add my $0.02 to these already correct explanations, nobody provides a user account under which to run a process. By using nobody this process will give no other permission (file/dir) to 'other' user accounts that use this process.
If you ran a process under the account 'root' you may then...
Try this:
Select Run from the Start Menu, type control userpasswords2, and click Ok
The option to require a username and password should be checked. Also both your admin account and the 'Us" account you refer to should have passwords.
Reduced Sign-on. Biometrics is just the flash that makes this technology pretty to non techs. I was just curious what others were experiencing in this arena....
What is the closest anyone has come to this holy grail?
At my company we piloted a product called Trinity paired with a biometric device. The technology actually worked extremely well and wasn't the typical screen scraping junk that most of the rest use. Of course, nothing good lasts forever...
You will never see a price drop! When is the last time you saw a 'wanted' commodity decrease in price? The economics of this follow the original railroad business model - tons moved per mile of track - in this case users per switch. Cable providers will continue to push limits on users...
