Thanks for doing this. I'm actually trying to decide between the m600 or the 8600. I know they are hugh differences and they are built for totally different use...but i'm trying to see which one is a better deal. Anyone wants to give it a try? Or is the deal good enough?

I actually haven't seen the 750 deal for about 1 month. But in between theres some 10 percent, 15% and even 20% off deals on the LCD. So i think it comes every 1 or 2 months.

Well, 2500+ can definately overclock to 3000+ or higher. Even the Mobile 2400+ can go to 3200+ (2.2ghz).

Thats a really good one. I got another one, which is way better then my first one, and it is doing 2.4ghz at 1.8v rock solid stable. It boots up at 1.75v fine but has problems with prime after 5 mins. To me, i think thats good enough...tempreture is around 51 under load, and 45 off load.

how do you sent onboard jumper to 166? Currently, i have a 2500+ barton which is suppose to run at about 1.8ghz, however, since the multiplier is lock at 11, and the FSB option is only from 100 to 132, it is not allowing me to clock it to the right speed. Another thing is, i hear that this...

I changed my power supply to fortron 530w, and i do see performance increase...or perhaps stability. I used to need about 1.8v to run at 2.2ghz(11X200), but now it seems that 1.75 will do the job. This chip i got basically sucks. Needs 2v to boot at 2.4ghz but prime wasn't stable. Well, just my...

I am just curious, since 2600+ is only 6 dollars away, with much higher Clockspeed, why didn't most of the people who got 2500 get 2600? Is that because 2600 is less overclockable?

Consider yourself lucky...i don't really know why, but my max currently is at 2.3 ghz unstable at prime. I think it is the powersupply, because i went to get a 430 trupower, that makes it a little more stable than my highpower 340w. Since the 430w true power isn't really doing a whole lot...

My power supply does have a 4pin 12v connector and it is right beside the regular connector. When you say 5%, i assume you are saying 5/100 * 12. The 12v rail drops to 11.86 after i start prime. And this is only at 11X200. And still it failed after 9 mins. And vcore droped from 1.7 to 1.63...

Mine is having trouble even trying to do 11X215 which is only 2354 mhz....it just doesn't going into windows at all. The only thing i can think of is the Power supply which is High power 340w. Manage to boot at 11X210 which is 2300mhz at 1.825 vcore. Seems kind of high for me at only 2300...

2.28 is still low...and you are not even maxing out your ram yet...so i don't think its your memory. I guess you can probably up your FSB somemore. I was thinking more like 2.4 at least since everyone was speaking so highly about mobile chips. 55degree is about full load in my opinion, but thats...
