Hmmm, interesting factoid about the Crucial mem's not playing nice with nForce2's.
a freind of mine built a pc w the A7N8X Dlx, same as mine, n she got 2x512 DDR333 Crucial sticks.
she gets alot of random reboots, and memtest86 turns up errors in the mem.
could this be a Crucial prob? would...
well, just for fun i tried the 'press alt+F2 to enter AWDflash' at boot.
never worked before, but did now. i flashed to 1003 cuz thas what was on my boot disk.
curious the SiSoft Sandra 2003 program still says rev 1017 beta 005 T9, but at least the BIOS date changed.
maybe 'rev 1017 beta 005...
ya, i did change the .001 to .bin n flashed it.
then later went to 1002'final'
just now tho, tried to flash to 1002A .
id fire up awdflash from my boot disk, it'd get to the press 'y' to program and it'd just sit there.
i tried 1003 cuz the extention on 1002A was .AWD instead of .bin. i didnt...
yeah, im still runnin 1002a, or at least i thought so.

so, just downloaded the 1003 BIOS.
should i flash it? i really dont feel like toasting my BIOS like Chiz.

i've got a 2400+ @ 13x166 so 2158 MHz.
2x256 DDR 333, still at 333.
would this be too much of an OC? i know its not tooo severe of an OC, but if...
i've got this board, tis very good.
had to update BIOS to OC, but that was painless.
did have to use the boot floppy, but it worked well.
have had my 2400 runnin at 2700 on the 166 bus for about a month now.
