Quick question: Will this (or using the Kram drivers) allow for both the analogue and the HD tuners on the card to work simultaneously (i.e. watch analog and record HD or vise versa)?
EXACTLY.
This is not an opinion, by the way, it's a provable FACT. GWB is doing pretty much what OBL WANTS him to do. You can read it in OBL's own words *before* the stated things happened. Here Just read the quotes if you don't want to read the whole thing.
For those who've been waiting for it, I thought I'd save you some price hunting:
$39.89 at DeepDiscountDVD
and if you don't like them..
$39.99 at Buy.com
Warm at best.. you can get the A60 for ~$120, the A75 for ~$205 and the A80 you listed is close to the lowest price.
Thanks
EDIT: You can, however, add a coupon for Buy.com from FW for a better deal. ;)
What completely baffles me is the whole "Google will scan my email" crap. If you take the time to read their FAQ, they say it's the exact same system that they use to put relevant ads on the right of your Google searches. How is one an invasion of privacy and the other ok?
Thanks! Just ordered mine.
DVDSoon is not the best retailer IMHO. They're not crooks or anything but they don't have much inventory info, may take a *very* long time to ship your order, and have sub-par customer service. I don't mind paying an extra $2 on a $65 order for the added piece of mind.
Good deal, but a word of warning:
Visiontek went out of business (which is probably why it's so cheap), so you won't be getting any tech support/warranty from them.
This was posted so many times that I'll just quote it and save myself some typing.
BTW, there's nothing wrong with this deal, but the title is misleading.
...or you *might* consider doing a little reasearch before thread crapping ;)

Unfortunately that deal is dead. The card is OOS, the coupon expired and buy.com jacked up the price :disgust:
For those looking for this specific card... It has nice image quality, very overclockable, and comes with a lifetime warranty.

$205 + ~$10 s&h - $20 mir = $195
edit: almost forgot Reseller Ratings
I've been checking the forum every day. How in hell did I miss this?? This is the 3rd time in the last month or so that I missed out on a deal I've specifically been looking for.
The Universe hates me.

Yeah, but to be fair, season 1 of buffy is only 12 eps, while Farscape is 22. It's still expensive for a box set, but not something a fan wouldn't mind paying though. I know I'd pay that much (heck, probably twice as much) for the B5 box set that's coming out this fall.
The card has 1 VGA output and 1 DVI. You only need a DVI-to-VGA adapter if you want to use nView with 2 analog displays.
BTW all retail Visiontek cards come with a Lifetime Warranty :D
Some good deals that weren't mentioned:
USRobotics 56K Winmodem (PCI) $26.99 - $20 MIR = $6.99
Smartlink 10/100TX LAN card $5.99
MS Intellimouse Explorer 3.0A (OEM) $29.99
Multi-Rack for 5.25" Drive Bay, USB/FireWire/Audio Jacks/Temp Monitoring (CPU,HD, System) $29.99
<< $67.99 for 256mb ddr pc2100 with free shipping >>
Unfortunately that seems to be the only decent DDR deal there. Everything else can be had for less at newegg (with better memory timings). :(
<< My experience has been just the opposite. I was unlucky enough to have two IBM drives fail that I had purchased from newegg as oem. IBM replaced them without any problems, never even spoke to newegg. >>
Newegg is NOT a system builder, they sell drives that are covered by the 3 year warranty.
