Lost onboard sound on Asus A7V8X-LA (HP a600n destktop)

I took it apart to clean it and when put it back, my sound is now gone? I've try dling the latest sound drver and still nothing.

how to reinstall factory settings w/o CD

I need to format my laptop and reinstall the original settings but I dont have access to the CDs. I heard that the hard drive has a hidden partition to restore factory settings. But I don't know how to access that partition. Can somebody please help?

athlonXP and Sempron are both the same price 99.99. I think they sempron has a better mobo tho

from tom's hardware guide it the sempron also runs at 333Mhz FSB but with less with L1 128kb k2 256kb running at 2.0 Ghz

Wow. Well if thats the case. Should I go for a Pentium 4 2.4 GHZ (1MB cache, 533 MHZ) bare CPU with MOBO for $109. Thats 10 dollars more than the athlonXP 2700+. This my first time buildiing a comp. Thanks for the info MDE

I've read that the semprons are rebadged athlonXPs so wouldnt this mean that a sempron 2800+ out performed the AthlonXP 2700+ btw. they're both the same price!

Where is Saddam right now

Tried for what? If we put Saddam on Trial then shouldn't we put Bush on Trial for Crimes against Humanity? There are hundred of Iraqi civilian causalities that came about from our bombs and guns!

I actually like Dean too bad he's not going to win. My favorite Democratic Candidate is Kucinich but he's not going to win either. Kerry is an elist, a member of the skulls and bones the same college fraternity Shrub is a part of.
