avg number of people/rooms using router = 27-35
total rooms in hotel = 54
people using wireless access point = unknown (5-7 perhaps)
symptoms include = limited/no connectivity, drop offs in middle of people working/email/etc, would show connected (DHCP address and all) = but nothing would load
okay here's the breakdown of the situation:
1. T1 line (1mb/1mb) comes into the hotel
2. runs into IT guys 4 different routers/switches/etc.
3. line runs into the linksys 8 port router for the hotel (internet)
4. 3 - 24port 10/100 switches are ran off this router
5. 1 - wireless access...
that program didn't work
I've also tried speedfan, but to no avail either
isn't there something in windows I can do (registry or otherwise)
to get the fan to kick on?? as I type this message my cpu temp is @ 65C :(
okay I've got a ProStar 2200C laptop
P3 1ghz cpu, and the rest we need not worry about :P
simple question (hopefully)
during startup the cpu fans spins up and is blowing over the heatsink - can tell by both the noise and airflow - once I've logged into windows the only time the cpu fan...
what's worse is how they tell Uli that any woman would buy her clothes, even Heidi said she would buy it then tell her that she loses to him
my wife is furious - she recorded all the episodes and wasted precious hours hating Jeff (so did I though) *lol*
I'm on a front desk computer now
using IP 67.110.7.14 for internet access and so far not a single issue
going through the same 16port switch then to the router for internet access
this one is also a dual IP config
problem machine - dual IP
192.168.0.11 - IP
255.255.255.0 - mask
192.168.0.1 - gateway
above for connection to server for hotel software (front desk computers)
67.110.7.15 - IP
255.255.255.0 - mask
67.110.7.1 - gateway
also manually configured both DNS addresses
above config is...
As of yet I have not touched his equipment yet
I'm still learning some of the fine details of his setup
T1 and all that stuff is a bit more than I use @ home
according to him, there should be no difference between the routers used and his stuff
we have a total of 7 static IP for the...
okay heres the breakdown
T1 line comes into hotel
connects to cisco equipment of service
from there connects to linksys 8 port router
from there connects to 3x24port switches for hotel
AND 16port switch for front desk computers
now the 3x24port switches run the internet for all the...
Okay here's the photo:
linky
It's part of a web template and I need to change the "Site Name" text
but I'm drawing a complete blank on how best to do that without ruining
the image. I'm using photoshop 7 currently.
any help for this hapless fool?
okay simple enough question, but I'm a bit behind the times :P
my current video card:
=Sapphire 9500 non-pro
=128mb DDR
=277mhz core
=270mhz memory
=does not softmod to 8 pipes (can only run the default 4)
=max overclock reached = 390core/320memory
a solid card for games that the...
okay short and sweet.
Got a motherboard, socket 370, VIA694TAS chipset (PIII, Tulatin, etc.)
According to manual and bios AGP 4X speeds supported.
However, while in windows98, I can only get a AGP 2X speed with my GF3 video card.
Any ideas as to why?
I've installed VIA 4-in-1 service...
thanks for the input gentleman :)
found I've got 2 working choices
1. put win98 on the primary drive, XP on the slave - as stated XP loads the needed files - worked fine during the 2 hour testing that I did with it.
2. put win98 on a partition of the primary drive, XP on the rest of...
Okay, simple thing right - 2 hard drives, 2 operating systems.
Not as easy as I thought.
Here's how it's working:
Master Disk = 20gb = Win XP
Slave Disk = 13gb = Win 98SE
I was told that if I install 98 first on the slave drive, then install XP on the master that XP should catch...
greetings all,
I'm in a bit of a "blonde" moment here.
I've got this laptop - and as soon as you power it on it shows the BIOS splash screen, then immediately asks for a password.
problem is the customer doesn't know the password.
how do I get past this so I can get into the computer and...
1000th post!!! WOOT!!! :D
Nick - is it because of the "SE" tag that you say the card is not higher end??
I used to have a 9500np that softmodded to a 9700 beautifully, but I'm a bit out of the game with the 9800 line of cards - hence the reason for my question.
Newegg has a Powercolor 9800SE refurb for $113
and I'm wondering if that would be a good price to grab a higher end card like that.
I finally got a new job, did some smart selling, and have a little bit of extra cash.
opinions are what I'm looking for.
if you think a 9500 nonpro/pro from here...
okay, one real quick question in regards to the freezer idea
how much risk is there that any other part will be damaged while doing that?
if not, that sounds like the best bet :)
thanks for all the input guys.
I used to have a 9500np that softmodded to a 9700 and was stable at pro speeds - should have never sold it :(
I think I will put my 5200 up for sale
again, thanks for all the input people
Okay, here's the system specs:
AMD XP2500+ (Barton) @200fsb = 2.0ghz
Infineon PC3200 2 x 256mb
Shuttle AN35N ultra
Mad Dog FX5200 (250core/500mem)
so far I haven't been into gaming that much, but the wife and I are starting to see more free time on our hands and so I'm thinking of grabbing...
