remodeling & runnin the cat5. need networking

Doing some remodeling and running new cable, telephone, and ethernet cable (8 wire). I ran the wires from each room in the house to come to a centralized point in the garage. I want a gigabit LAN to share large files and stream movies etc? Before I go too much further I have a couple questions...

video card woes

Well, now I am totally confused....I just restarted the PC to adjust the refresh rate of the monitor, and now almost everything is OK (without changing anything). The only thing messed up now is my pdf-file icons, and my OFFICE(word, excel, etc...) icons. Any new ideas?

Creative Audigy 2 and nightmare support

I have a 2.8C with HT enabled and and A2 Plat. I have no problems, however, I didn't install the card until I downloaded the new chipset drivers and bios update and disabled onboard audio. Can't speak to the CS of creative, but if you have the proper updates the card should work fine. Good luck...

I agree Hitachi is a good brand to buy, in fact, its the one I have purchased (being fed-exed as i write this), but also keep in mind that samsung is the crt manufacture for hitachi. Go to hitachi.com and download the pdf specs on the cm721fb. Scroll down to near the bottom and you'll see right...
