Unrelated question, but I didn't get a response when I posed this in the Forum Issues & Feedback section.
When I try to create a new thread under the Motherboards section, I keep getting the error:
This is my thread title:
Asus ROG STRIX B550-E / 5800X - cheap GPU recommendations?
This is the...
Thanks to everyone who responded. This makes me feel much better. I just can't afford to spend any more money on this build right now.
Testing outside the case using an old PSU (now I have a brand new EVGA SuperNOVA G3 ready to go!) & the R9 270X, the setup POSTed. I had the reseat the GPU...
I realize this is a very old thread, but just thought I would post it. I am in the same situation as the OP, but 4 years later! I have an old R9 270x and was wondering if it is adequate to work with a Ryzen 5800x + Asus ROG STRIX B550-E MoBo. I will not be playing any games, but will be using...
Now that I have created this thread, why can't I create the one I want? Any thoughts?
The following is the title I am using to create the thread when I get the "Oops! We ran into some problems. " error:
Asus ROG STRIX x570E, 5800X - cheap GPU recommendations?
What am I doing wrong?
I am getting the following error while creating a thread under Graphic Cards forum.
Oops! We ran into some problems.
Please enter a valid message.
I didn't have any issues creating this thread though!
I am using ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E after reading a ton of reviews. I have just put it together, so too early to comment! Don't plan to overclock too much.
Update: I successfully put it together. Everything worked well.
I have the same MoBo with 5800x. I had issues posting. I was seeing Q-code 02 with the VGA & Boot lights on. It turned out my GPU wasn't seated properly.
I fully agree about the magazine going south in, what I preceive, quality. I used to subscribe to Stereo Review in the 80's when I would be anxiously checking my mailbox for the latest issue. I religiously read every page & dreamt of having enough money one day so I can own some good equipment...
I also grabbed a copy with the new link. Thanks both TECHS & COMPMAN25.
Since there is an alternative download link available that still works, TECHS should edit the title that says "EXPIRED"...
Hi, I am using 2X2GB sticks of G.Skill RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16820231122) on my P5E-N SLI board.
Listed RAM timings: CL5.5.5.15
RAM speed: PC2-6400
ASUS MB BIOS version: 1101
The 2 sticks work fine individually (one at a time) on any of the 4 slots.
They also...
Thanks a lot AMelbye - I will give it a shot. I do have a pretty junky PSU lying around. I can try that to see if that solves the problem. If I still have a problem, can you (or anyone else) think of any other culprits?
I am trying to build a system using P5N-E SLI & won't even post! I see the power supply, and all the fans begin to spin & they all stop within a second. What are the possibilities I can look into?
CPU: Intel® Core 2 Duo E6400
Cooling: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
RAM: 2X1GB PC2-6400...
Thanks a lot PaidLess. My current (paid) subscription will expire in about a month. I was just wondering if I should shell out $$$ for a renewal & this came at the perfect time! Hope I get the magazine!
New Egg has the beautuful (may be gaudy for some folks) red case free after MIR ($15.99 Shipping). I just ordered one. Only 2 user reviews - decent. Did not check for any other reviews on the web. I feel you can't go wrong with an ALuminium case for $15.99!
Edit: Should have mentioned...
Has anyone tried the Tuniq Tower or the Thermalright Ultra 120 with P5N-E? I am tempted to wait for the release of the brand new Ultra 120 Extreme which reviewed better than both!

The original list of cooling solutions for this MB is incomplete. Can people share what CPU coolers they have used & what they had to do to get it to fit? I have decided on this MoBo & am trying to decide on a cooler that will work with minimum issues.
Thanks...
Actually, most of the Oracle database products are free. They are between 450-650 MB, so will take a while to download! The following link is for Enterprise 10g on Win32 platform:
