I have a server set up at home for file sharing. It is hard wired to my router. I have a couple of laptops running on the same router but wirelessly. One laptop connects with no problems to the shares.

I have an old MAC hard drive that I have hooked up to my PC. I can see the drive in BIOS but need a tool to recover the data. Is there anything free that someone can suggest? (or easily downloadable)
I have XP installed on C:
I have a D: drive with a bunch of data
I have an E: drive that is empty
I have an F: drive with a bunch of data
I want to install a fresh copy of XP on E: and dual boot the 2 XP installs
When I try to do this it says Windows wants to copy some files to F: but...
I've got a 10mb connection and I'm only getting about 5mb down. Wired is OK but I have to run a very long cable to do it. It's a Linksys WRT54G and I'm using a Linksys Wireless PCI card...any ideas why this is happening?

This is not on my laptop but I am trying to help a friend. He has a Toshiba Satellite laptop and all his icons are missing. He cannot even create a new shortcut. If you go to Windows Explorer and view the desktop all the shortcuts do show up there. I tried killing explorer.exe and restarting it...
