meh, i have nanya 6ns (pc2700) chips that run upto 380mhz at 2.5v so its not that bad
edit: what exactly are u all basing ur "nanya is crap" comments on? have any of you ever owned the stuff?
although the chip might be able to handle 57C, who cares? if it seems abnormal why not investigate it? an SK-7 and 48CFM fan should reduce its load temp to below 50C i would imagine. if u could post ambient temps...
ohhhhhhhhhhh damn, i upgraded to cat 3.8 a few days ago when trying to get halo to work. hmmmm...... when the windows gui initialises after a cold boot my monitor displays the picture in shades of green. hmmm, has only been happening the past few days... i have to turn the monitor off and back...
heh, i was running my epox 8rda+ on default vdd without a northbridge heatsink for maybe a few days! had no crashes during load oddly enough.. if anyone else has the zalman nb-32 heatsink on their northbridge, does it sometimes pop off on one corner?
fsb was 182 :Q
heh yeah, i love that nforce2 real-time voltage changing proggy. before i was limited to 1.4v minimum, now its 1.075 :D although i have to load windows (and the program) to drop to that voltage.
passively cooled with just the side intake max temp was 38C (could probably be passively cooled...
my 9800 np came with samsung 3.3ns ram. went to 340(680)mhz on np bios. after flashing to 9800 PRO bios..... 384(768)mhz... from 3.3ns ram ;)
because of the flash to 9800 PRO, i can now hit 466gpu/768ram ALL STOCK (except bios)
CPU: Athlon64 FX-51 @2996.33MHz(214x14) Vcore=1.739V(modified), Dryice(with ethanol) cooling
eh? would 1.74v really be killing his cpu? hell, does he even need dry ice to post at that speed, maybe even to boot into windows
i had a machine many many years ago (some pentium), anyway it would make a weird kind of noise when doing stuff (scrolling), it was coming from the sound card - through the speakers. try unplugging ur speakers
erm wrong, celerons have ALWAYS had on-die cache, all the way back to the first ever pentium 2 celeron (actually the first desktop intel chip that had on-die L2 cache)
