i have a dell d800 and i have no problems connecting to a tv...through the built in s-video port.
just plug it all in and then you should be able to go to the display settings and advanced, then tv should be there somewhere and you could set up a clone or extended desktop business....hope...
if i were you i would shell out for the 150. Those off brands are barely ever worth the risk IMHO. You probably wont get the charge you'd get out of a retail HP battery.
Alright I have an saphire x800 pro vivo AGP and it isnt flashed, overclocked or anything and im running the 5.7 drivers. I cannot get through more than about 15 seconds of any 3d game without the card completely locking up my rig.

My laptop (latitude D800) has a smart card reader, but i dont know where to get the card etc etc, could someone point me in the right direction? I keep getting information about the camera memory etc etc rather than the credit card shaped card im lookin for.
So does anyone have a real use for one of those PDA's for a college student? Ive got a laptop and i was wondering what you guys think about getting a Dell Axim...i think its probably just a 350$ paper weight...but do you guys have any uses for them?
it is still in its infancy, and its just fine for surfing the net around the house on a laptop. Its also pretty cool that you can go downtown (depending on where you live) and just hop online.
I agree that the D series Dell laptops are all worth a look, stay away from the 600M series etc etc if you have 2k to spend.
I got a D800 decked out just like 'John' did.
I got the d800 because of its awesome WUXGA widescreen and great gfx card. I thought it was an awsome buy.
just my $0.02.
