I've also gone back to the latest driver for video from the MSI site, not the nVidia site and re-installed Direct X using their web installer.

Yes and yes. That's the reason I took out Zone Alarm and AVG Free so I could install Outpost. A file associated with ZA was causing some of the BSODs. I got a brand new HDD because it failed several tests. Sadly, it's still doing it. I'm going to have to install the chipset driver...

Strange that the WoW forums say to go back to DirectX 9 then. On the other hand I wasn't playing WoW when the damn thing blue screened on me. Unless I miss my guess I already have the latest drivers from Nvidia. I'll look again. I'm not even sure the card will support dX 11...

Sub T7300 for 5750

I'm contemplating subbing a T7300 in place of the original T5750 in my Toshiba P305 laptop. I looked up the two and noted that the 7300 has an 800 MHz FSB while the 5750 has a 667 MHz FSB. Do we think this swap will work?

Well, I'm stumped. 3rd time is not a charm. I believe the card to be fried no matter whether or not it puts a nice picture to an external display. Damn shame. Seems to be a good computer otherwise.

No matter which browser I use all downloads get deleted upon completion. I've taken to downloading anti-malware, anti-virus, anti-etc. software onto a flash drive and installing from there. All install with ease. Windows update works. Browsing works. Searching works. Updating anti-virus, etc...

I'm ready to do some drilling but cannot do cutting to allow for the width. Since the case is sideways width becomes height. That would mean a six inch long 3.4 inch wide slot cut in the top to accommodate a 1/2 inch of PSU sticking up. I have the Rosewill in my "cart" at Newegg.
