HardOCP- NVIDIA's MXM Graphic Module
This is basically a PCI-EXPRESS slot (NVIDIA proprietary) for your notebook. ATI should reveal their specification for an upgradable video slot soon.
Laptops with this slot are expected in the 2nd half of 2004.
Of those three, I'd go with the T42 for the optical drive (easier to install stuff, watch DVDs, etc).
Also the video on the T42 should be much better. The X40 has integrated Intel graphics and the X31 has the Mobility Radeon (16mb IIRC).

Best Buy had a deal deal with that laptop for $750 (after rebates from $950) a little bit ago.
I have the model...
I'm considering the Archos 20 GB USB 2.0 MP3 Jukebox Recorder.
- How is the Rockbox OS? Can I still backup the original firmware?
- The battery life is officially 10 hours. Is this accurate?
- How does walking affect the music playback? Is this bad on HD mp3 players?
- Is it easy to replace...
Out of those three, definately the Ti. Doesn't the 9600SE have 64-bit memory?
I'd get something better though. Maybe cut back a little on the processor or change to AMD.
