    Sidewinder 3D Pro Plus on XP

    I have the Sidewinder 3D Pro (not plus) and it works fine in XP - when you go into the joysticks control panel, and go to add, the driver you are looking for is "Microsoft Sidewinder (Auto-Detect)". As it says, it will automatically detect it and it will work, after you calibrate it.

    I had a Nvidia Riva TNT2 card (from a 1999 gateway) that didnt work in my Asus A7V133 (wouldnt fit) so I found an Nvidia Geforce256 32MB and that fit so i used it (till it died). The bottom line is, if the card fits it will work. -Josh

    you dont run setup.exe in dos tho...you have to go into the i386 folder and run WINNT.EXE. Also you need a program called HIMEM.EXE which needs to be run before you start the installation. Good luck! -Josh

    Are the wires ran near any power cords/wires? If so try serperating them. Also try hooking up the 30 foot wire by itself (no other wires in the area) from the computer to something (like a TV etc). It could just be sh!tty wires, but it is probably crossed or near a power cable. -Josh
