i would read a review but, the main draw to kodak is that they are easy to use. this makes them great for kids and old folks. aside from that i would go with another camera because kodaks usually lack alot of features.

not too long but its not really fast (based on my 1.1 jumpdrive (128mb)) officemax has free card readers every other week though so use that instead of hooking up the camera

no it only means that now you wont be able to blow up the pick as good as you would on 35mili, 5x7s and 4x6 are 35 mili quality now and with 3 megapixels 8x10's are very close
35 mili i believe is up to 23 megapixels which is why you can blow them up as big as you like. mega pixel pretty much only determines this size you can print and no so much the quality
a 3 will do a very nice 8x10
a 4 is only 11percent more resolution and will only do a slightly better 8x10...
i would exchange it because the samsung is inmo better, cheaper and alot smaller / compact
the only camera that seems to be noticely better for all around general use picture taking with alot manual settings is the canon a70 but thats at least another $100
