I currently own a SP3 Pro and lost my pen... again. I need to buy a new pen of which there are now two available (well, technically as of Monday). I know the SP3 has 256 levels of sensitivity whereas the SP4 has 1024.
This is probably wishful thinking since its probably dependent on the...
Just a random question to resolve an office debate. Does anyone know the amount of calories burned while being Tased/Tasered? I know there are a lot of variable so lets say:
50k volts
30 seconds
average male (170lbs 5'9")?
Thanks,
D
Do you have any sources for this? I'm thinking the change in gravity from the sun and angular momentum would somehow affect its rotational speed.
Thanks,
D
Ok, I'm wracking my brain on this one and figured it might just be easier to ask. Ok... if you increased the distance of the Earth from the sun, would this increase, decrease, or not affect the rotation of the Earth? Basically, would it make days longer?
Any sources would be greatly...
Nope... but I will now. I just assumed that going through so many different sticks that are confirmed working would eliminate the chance that its a defective stick problem.
Yesterday I also swapped out the power supply twice (one brand new and one working pull)... no help :(
Thanks again...
I have tried 10 sticks of RAM (2 of which were brand new and previously unopened) most from other working computers. The RAM originally in the HTPC works fine in other computers. I thought it was the RAM at first too. Increased and decreased voltage/timings, more around to different slots...
My HTPC blue screens when loading Windows (halfway through the startup animation) unless I turn it off and move the ram into a different slot (mobo has 4 slots and it doesnt seem to matter which slot its in as long as its been moved). The ram was at stock settings but I've tried changing the...
That's what I was hoping! Thanks guys for your help!!
Does anyone know why the individual components recommended so much higher; the video card itself recommended 450w (I know it doesn't use more than 75w) and the CPU is a power hog at 125w.
I just ordered a 9850BE to upgrade my current system and was wondering if my current PSU is good enough or if I need to be buying a new PSU.
Another thing is that my mobo has a 8pin CPU power connector and I've been using a 4pin since my old CPU only drew 45w... is it ok to keep using the...
Hmm.... perhaps my original idea was a bit too ambitious. ok... how about levitating plastic pumpkin pail?
Just out of curiosity, how would you set up your liquid nitrogen levitating pumpkin?
UPDATE: So apparently its not feasible to levitate a pumpkin with regular magnets at room temperature. How about a plastic pumpkin pail (similar to those that McDonald's used to give out)? Ideas?
Original Post:
I'm thinking about trying to levitate a pumpkin (hollowed out and carved)...
Thanks for the suggestion. They have already offered to pay me back for the games... but I'd much rather avoid the problem all together.
Anyone know the answer to the question in the original post?
My niece just scratched the heck out of my Super Smash Brothers Brawl and my week old Mario Kart Wii (ONLY GOT TO PLAY IT TWICE!!) so now I'm thinking about backing up my games (yes, I will only be backing ones I legally bought). I Googled that only these drives work:
* Hitachi LG GDR-8161b...
I hate to be a party pooper but when I was buying my shotgun and thinking about getting a CA legal AR, I kept this in the back of my mind "I live in Commifornia and they hate guns here, if I have to defend myself or my family and use it on someone, its going to look real bad to the jury when...
I drove the 190hp 4 banger as well and was very surprised. Unless you are really opening up the throttle... the power is definitely there. I would even go as far as to say it drives like a quieter version of a 6 cylinder of just a redesign or two ago. Blind spot was none too pleasing...
Its actually for my bro in law... and he lives 2 hours away... and he has no clue how about car audio. I'm asking to minimize the amount of times he has to drive down here so I want to find out in advanced to order the parts in advanced... so he only has to drive down here once.
depends on what specific models. in general, alpine makes better stuff (although i must admit that they have been slipping the last couple of years). i bought an alpine for my car and a pioneer premier for the wife... just depends on what you need and whats on sale.
My bro in law wants to replace the blown speakers in his 98 C230 but I cant quite figure out what size the speakers are. Crutchfield tells me the front door are 6.5 but dont say anything about the rear door or speakers behind the rear seats. Some places are saying 6.5 for the rear doors but just...
Sorry I must have pressed the wrong forum before submitting the thread... can a mod move this to the right forum?
Also, for 4in speakers... if you click on 4in speakers on crutchfield... it says that none of them fit? Does anyone know of any that will fit?
are there any eligible employees that arent interested in this deal and willing to buy it for me? ill definitely throw in extra for the time and trouble. let me know. thanks.
i dont really mean to threadcrap... but... is this really a deal? a couple weeks ago it was FAR and it hits about 100-150 every so often. its 169 at amazon right now.
Picked up one of these from the local Fry's a month or two ago. Great little router and well worth it (especially if you are hardwired up with CAT6 and have gigabit cards). Range was much better than my old super standard netgear router and (although it might just be in my head) the QoS really...
I got in right before my local store closed... I guess they had anticipated more people because toward the end they were giving out half dozens. Donuts are bad... but free is always good.
I second the idea of buying 1 single faster 8800GTX. I had 2 7900gt's SLI'ed in a watercooled setup a while back and realized it wasn't quite worth it. In my own experience, I usually saw gains of about 0-50% (even in games designed for SLI). If it doesnt say designed for SLI, assume you will...
I flashed my PNY fx5900 to 5950u a couple years back and its been workng fine. A couple days ago it started artifacting green horizontal lines. Trying to diagnose the problem, I've been trying to look for a copy of the original PNY FX5900 bios so I could flash it back.
I've Googled for a...
Does anyone know how one would change those settings? Since it works on other US carriers its probably not the problem Ive tried everything and its definitely worth a shot.
It's gotta be setting itself improperly to pick up the cable signals -- but I have no idea why it would be doing that or exactly how to fix it. Either that or your card went bad...
Tried several different setups and actually RMA'ed the card/box once. The replacement had the exact same...
I tried running SageTV and BeyondTV with the same results. I also tried using various splitters as well as running it directly from the wall to 1 input at a time (thinking maybe my signal strength was too low after the split. Still nothing. The only signal I get is so degraded I can't tell...
I have a Adaptec AVC 3610 dual analog tuner (also branded under HP) that seems to work fine with Time Warner Cable, Cox Comm Cable, and OTA antennas. For some odd reason it will not work with Charter Cable (which is the only company that services the area I just moved to).
Does anyone know...
