does EA screw up everything they attempt?

MPBT:3025 was one of several games canceled after the WTC attack. EA said they lost quite a bit and had to fire quite a lot of people, IIRC. I don't know what really happened afterwards as I didn't stick around. Like many others I went back to Mechwarrior 4.

KotOR II release date confirmed.

Great! I just bought the first about a week ago. Great game, the characters handle a lot better than in NWN. The Inventory sucks, though.

cannot edit the registry?!

Thanks a lot! :) I downloaded Registrar Lite (prefer not to mess with scripts. I assume the worst will happen :P). Found the DisableRegistryTools value and changed it to 0. Will now go and see if I can reinstall the drivers properly. Regedit works now.

Looked at it, it is set to "Not Configured". Should I set it to "disabled"?

Logged in as the Admin - I'm the only one who uses this computer. While installing the drivers (they make several changes to the registry) AND when trying to open regedit.exe I get the message: "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator."

Hello. I'm using XP Pro and I've tried installing the latest catalyst drivers and found out I somehow disabled registry editing. Of course the driver installation is a bit messed up right now. Does anyone have any idea how to change this? I can't find anything related to this or services that...

What is the best RPG in my collection? <poll>

Planescape: Torment, duh :) Just finished it again yesterday, unfortunately I didn't merge with the Transcendent One like I did a year ago, instead I killed him after resurrecting Grace. It's funny that you find out Morte isn't really dead if you choose to resurrect him, little bastard.

Recommend a Good Starter Bike

Good advices here, I'll add my own. As for the bikes, I can recommend the GS500E. cheap to buy, cheap to maintain, cheap to fix, has enough power for a rider's needs (until you get speedaholic like all of us :)) and it doesn't look too bad :P Also for clarification: A 600 supersport might only...

Help with Panda AV eating RAM

Hello :) I installed Panda (I'm using WinXP Pro) after the very informative thread about AV's. It did its job and now I don't want to use it until I decide to. The problem is that after shutting all the automatic stuff off it still lingers in memory taking about 20MB. The progs are...

Good Online RPG's

If you like BG2, Torment, Morrowind etc. (like me) you will not really enjoy online RPG's. too repetitive. EDIT: I mean, MMORPGs. Some of the above games can be played in multiplayer mode.

RANT: i have the worst hair.. i just wish it would stop growing....

my hair is bad too, but in a different way. it is incredibly dense. my father's hair is just the opposite. its a pain in the summer with all the heat and sweat so I have to keep it velly velly short too.

I don't know. But I can tell you there here its a little different. You just don't take your personal grudges to the court. what will it cost to sue someone over this kind of thing? that might be the reason. If you decide on it around here expect to pay $3k+ just in legal fees.

GPS Experts? MINI Cooper Tracking?!

Don't you have other things to do? As for the thread...we have a similar system here in Israel, but it is designed for cars in the first place, as a kind of quiet alarm to know where your vehicle is heading. Like LoJack, heh. A LOT of people install it. Remember it is not a GPS unit, you're not...
