[56k warning] 1055T Thuban benchmarked to hell and back

Thank you very much for this post! Definitely showed me a few benchmarks I hadn't tried. I've got my 1055t at 3.5GHz and it seems that our numbers are fairly close across the board. I wouldn't mind trying to undervolt for lower temps. Any suggestions on how far I can go?

Actually, I didn't pay them much attention. That still doesn't take away from the point of my post which is that it's cheaper to buy the fans from SVC then Newegg. Here is the exact same fan from Newegg, with the correct specs listed (69CFM)...

Reliable hardware monitor?

I'm remembering some of the pains of Windows. Software doesn't "just work". I have tried every single Dashboard Gadget and nothing seems to be worth their price (free). I don't know if it's the fact that the Phenom X6 isn't supported for these gadgets, yet. Or if my drivers aren't installed...

ATI Radeon HD 5770

Everything I've read has said the shroud cooler is rather loud. I went with the MSI Hawk( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127490 ) it is virtually silent! From what I understand the "egg" coolers are just as good, though. I'd go with the sapphire.

Thank you, you bring up some very valid points. I did indeed consider the 4890. Well, at least until the point that I came across Anandtech's review of the 5770 cards... http://anandtech.com/show/2856/13 Apparently it's one of the loudest, hottest, most power hungry card in this price...

I'm pretty sure Flash Player is broken...

Or, it's just Newegg's site? I should mention...you CANNOT click it at all. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, tried the beta flash player, and btw...it's the same on every browser But the reason why I think it's actually flash that is broken is that I can't access the settings manager...

Thank you, those are better than nothing at this point but to be truthful half of them are too spaztastic and the other half are too elongated or with long pauses. I wasn't sure if there is a specific message that is being spelt out in the sound I'm looking for or not.
