Yeah I think so also because I saw some games in the back behind the customer service reps but didn't bother asking them what they were. They already seemed annoyed and pissed(?) about this deal (which they had no idea about) going on. Every time they rang up a game and it came out to 4.99...
I bought one from circuit city for about $850 after rebate and I'm regretting it...
Ghosting galore. Especially for 3D PS2 games... it really looks like crap. Even TV channels have some ghosting... I wouldn't recommend this monitor...
Don't worry... you know these sorta things always get cheaper...
you can get a 9800 Pro for $250 at most places now, no? Meanwhile, I'm gonna milk everything out of my 9500 Pro till there's an absolute need to upgrade. Though the 9600 Pro AIW looks very tempting >_<
Why are people taking theirs back?? You guys are scaring me >_<
I bought 2 and opened them both and now running RAID0. I got 6 rebates printed out total. 3 for each. (of course gonna use 2 different addresses)
Crazy deal. Picked up 2. And i just picked up a 200Gb from Compusa for $99 afte rebates from Compusa... I should have waited for a deal like this. Oh well.
Never tried anything else besides the regular thermal grease. $5 seems a little expensive for 3.5g of stuff like this but I guess I can just skip dinner for one day and find out if it was really worth the $5.40.

Hmmm the pics show that it is both a USB 2.0 and a Firewire enclosure... maybe it's a mistake?
And btw.. they're out of the headphones =P
they look actually kinda nice too. oh well

hmm that doesn't sound very reasonable... I have a KDS Rad-5 and I doubt it's 11ms... that LCD came out awhile back.. and I tried playing games on it, I notice tons of ghosting...
These ram sticks work in dual channel despite Kingston's warning saying they are not dual channel compatible (personally tested). I believe this is Kingston's marketing strategy in persuading people to opt for the higher end HyperX modules.
hmmm i donno much about DVD burners but from what i read from these forum, it seems like the optorite is a good deal... especially with the 4x DVD+Rs being able to burn at 8x and all..
The XP 2000+ combo is tempting.. but I just checked the ad and it's the ver.8.0 of the board... if it were a ver.5.0 then I'd be all over it (cuz it has raid and built in firewire)
If anybody is in the Irvine / Tustin area and still want this case and it's sold out at the Tustin store, lemme know.. because I might return it. It hasn't been used. Just taken out and looked at. I don't think I'll have a use for it afterall... damn impulse buy...
I played and beat Call of Duty using a stock 9500 Pro and the experience was pretty good. Catalyst 3.9
Did notice slowdowns at some points... especially walking through grass or something...
just ordered a 9700 Pro.. we'll see if there's any changes...
I shoulda figured... cuz when i first called them they said they had one. And then they say they will go check and come back and tell me they dont'.... that is so shady.... stupid Omax employees.
Ebay.
hmm... well I'm getting different responses. Some people say 9700 Pro > 5900, some people say the opposite. Oh well... guess it's always good too wait and see.
with all these FX 5900 deals that went on.. I wonder if I made a mistake by ordering a 9700 Pro (OEM white box) for a little less than $200....
been doing some research and comparing the two but kind of hard to find info cuz they don't really put these 2 cards in a match up. Though I did find...
You get everything you see here
and yeah I just found out about the Super Lanboy as well but it doesn't come with a PSU and it's $100. It does come with 2x120mm fans though. The regular Lanboy has a 350W PSU but no fans included. Both come with the carrying strap.
Super Lanboy
wow not bad... if you can get all that price matching thing to work and actually get to receive the rebate. btw how are these cards compared to a 9700 Pro? I just bought a new OEM 9700 Pro off Ebay (impulse buy) for $193.50. Donno if it was worth it or if I shoulda went for this deal too...
My first post in the Hot Deals section... here goes:
I went today to the local Microcenter to pick up a tripod for my camcorder and found the Antec Lanboy for $50. Newegg has them for $79.99 with $10 shipping so I think this is a pretty good deal. In-store only. What do you guys think?
it always boggles me why people bother bidding so high at the beginning of the auction.... they kill the deal for themselves cuz they won't win and kills it for others for bidding so high... it's stupid
this game isn't that great in my opinion....
quite similar to State of Emergency as far as gameplay goes...
but then again I tried it right after I beat Max Payne 2 :P can't compare at all
Is this the sequel to TXR0 because in Japan there's a TXR0 One and Kaido battle. I'm thinking TXR3 might be the US version of Kaido battle because it doesn't mention anything about 3 way race which TXR0 One has.
