    So we just moved and using this modem/router combo was giving us spotty WIFI coverage throughout the house. Got a mesh wifi which solved that with using this Netgear device as modem only. I tried to connect my desktop PC directly to it as it still had another ethernet port available and I am not...

    Elite Dangerous gets my vote for space flight sims. And yes, I bought a HOTAS just for it...if only the cheapest one along with foot pedals or whatever they are called. Awesome in VR too!

  8. I just picked up a set of Klipsch Pro media 2.1 THX certified speakers

    Still use my set of 5 paired with a slim Sony receiver ( as spkrs are 4 ohm) and a sub for PC gaming. Oh, and they do say its THX certified or whatever.....;)

  14. Should I switch to monitor from TV or upgrade TV ?

    I use a 43" 4k TV as a monitor and while its great at desktop distance, I am not actually sold on getting larger ones like 65" for a 10 foot viewing distance. I agree that a pj with a minimum of 100" would be best for 10 feet or more viewing distance.

    Actually kinda like Gambit. You just go in there blasting away, running around picking up motes then going back to deposit them. I usually have a good enough team, not had any of those invader types ruining it for me. Of course, I always have a long ranged weapon handy for enemy guardians...

    Overhaul? We should all wish. A little updating would be a good start but no one will do that because if its not " feasible" no one will do it. It like no one is going to get a cure for the common cold because there is no money in that because no one dies from it.

    I had kind of a similar issue with a 50" Panny. Power is there but screen is black. I suppose you have researched online on the issue. For mine, it turns out I needed to replace 2 boards which I did myself. Cost me less than $200 and it has been working fine since.

    So, on my sig, I have an i5-6600K at 4.2 paired with a 1080ti. Using an HTC vive on it as well as play other games on it. Doing well actually but I may have $500 to spare (use it or lose it kinda thing). Is it worth it to jump to an i7-8700, new mb, RAM, etc? I know it may end up costing more...

    I usually follow a guy that has quite a high rank. These guys usually know the maps like the back of their hands and know where to position themselves.

    Actually I am using a DP cable from the 1080ti to the link box as I am using the HDMI for the TV/monitor. I even have a longer USB cable form the PC to the link box as well. Its all OEM Vive though from the link box to the TPCast transmitter.

    TPCast set-up was not all hard but it didn't work the first time for the software. Apparently, there is newer software than what the manual tells you as the hardware has changed. Once loaded up, you needed to reinstall the Vive drivers for everything. I just have the transmitter box just hanging...

  30. Mass Effect Andromeda (2016)

    I'm on my second run on it now on Insanity. I did get it a few months ago and got turned off by the poor animations. Once all the patches were up, it was a more enjoyable game, at least the animations weren't bothering me enough to finish the game.

    I think you can get 5.1 or 7.1 out of onboard mobo sound through analog only. If you are thinking of using optical or coax, you have to get a dedicated sound card. I have one connected to an AVR to output DD/DTS.
