thanks for the reply.. BTW, bios is latest version, f15 I believe... I haven't tried bumping voltages.. seems odd everything seems fine, but I can't look at pics on web pages... I read to try CPU voltage at 1.4 and NB at 1.35 I see two NB, one is VID NB the other is just NB, which...

No warranty left... I haven't opened it up, but guess I will... It's no good like this... is it possible it would get to hot in a few seconds not to work?? or more likely already burned up?? I'll let ya know what happens..

again fellas, thanks for the responses... I don't think I can do a bios flash, it will not even attempt to boot... Within 2-3 secs it is solid gray screen, with an external monitor attached, same thing w/ nothing showing up on external screen. I'm not sure what you mean by another...

the service tag says dv2915nr product: hp pavilion dv2700 that video is like the "towel" trick for xbox 360... thanks though :) this is a buddy's computer, but I'm sure Vista is all that's been on it...

thanks for the reply fellas, It has the Intel x3100 video, so the bad Nvidia is not the problem. I was thinking video/integrated as well, but wouldn't it at least go through the process of booting?? with the welcome music? and then shutting off shouldn't be a 1-2 second thing?? unless...

well, pulled the trigger... went w/ the 22" 2208fpw and other upgrades to reach 1009.xx total is 676.xx probly will install a copy of Media Center, a 500g HD some memory and use it for video/music/pic server for the 360.... I guess?? thanks OP...

thanks for the reply.. It is a touchy little thing... an IDE DVD burner would not work for whatever reason.. wouldn't even recognize it... put a Sata optical in it and it works fine... kinda fun trouble shooting... glad It's not my everday/needed rig though... runs stable now...

Hey IlllI, thanks for the bumps and replies... i would agree I have a memory problem, except for the fact that the 2x1g runs fine w/ a 3000+ winnie or Venice core... but will only run w/ 1 x 512mb w/ the x2 3800 and the 3700+ sandiego core... the ram can be in either slot too, so no...

this is a weird one.. shuttle sn25p 3000+ winnie core 2x1gig Kingston DDR 400 started w/ a 2005 bios, updated to newest, then to second newest... w/ the 3000+ installed, it will boot up and run fine w/ the 2g of RAM... If I try to upgrade to either a 3700+ SanDiego or an X2 3800...

hey, Thanks... found it... In firefox.... tools, options, content, fonts and colors... is that the CSS stylesheet you are talking about??? I'll have to tweak the font colors to get somthing I like, but I did get rid of the light bulb glaring into my face.... thanks, finkle
