Generator switch v. Iraq!

It's counterintuitive, but it bothers the fuel a lot more than the air. We use JP8, which is crap to start with, and then the fuelers are mostly independant contractors, and most of THEM are non-american, so what happens a lot of times is they leave the cap off, just not paying attention or not...

I should have said that this isn't really an official solution, it's not really even sanctioned. It's more like, we sit around all the time, and my section sergeant said hey, go for it, just don't break anything. Funds are pretty much personal. I can order quite a few parts but only things...

why do people make a big deal about cheesesteaks?

prov + oregano + top round That's the stuff right there. You have to heat the prov on the roll in the oven until the roll gets a little crispy around the edges, cook the beef with oregano and just a bit of garlic. Then put more oregano on the melted prov, pile on the beef, bam. Instant...

Why is the army using these uniforms???

I haven't gotten ACU's yet, they say I'm going to when I get to Kuwait, but from what I hear they're powerful fragile. The people that have them aren't supposed to use them for anything strenuous because the stitching is shoddy. The BDUs on the other hand made it through far too much. I'm...

what cologne do you use?

Aqua di Gio, Drakkar Noir, Polo Blue, Black Code, and Lacoste depending on my moods. Usually it's Drakkar though, I love it.

64 bit CPU. A true technical review please

If I'm not mistaken, 64-bit refers to the memory addressing. That said, the advantages of the Athlon 64 line aren't their 64-bitness per se, but the fact that for the cost, their performance is a good sight better than the Pentium equivalent.
