Onboard raid or separate raid card??

I use one of these and am quite pleased with it. It is imho, noticeably faster than any on-board chip I've seen/used (and I've seen'um/used'um all). You may also want to convert to sata asap ;)

is abit reliable?

I have no troubles with Abit's reliability. I do have a VERY big beef with their 'pr' though. I would 'bone up' and read about the good, bad & uglies about all the mobos your considering and make a decision to fit your needs ;)

It's scary because everybody thinks that for that precious 30 seconds, all of humanity knows what your 'up to' and tries to trample the doors down to pull only THAT power cord to your pc :):):) LOL

MS Intellimouse 2.0 Wireless for FPS games?

I've not found any wireless to work well enough to use in FPS games.... I've owned the logitechs and am currently using the 'wired' version of the explorer 4.0. The 'wireless' 4.0 is under the desk, rotting like a good little cordless :):):)

Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer V 4.0

I just got mine, Thanx be to BS911 for providing a link with a cut 'above' service :) Kickx Axe !!! Games well to me.... Just gotta slow down some settings, find a 'sweet spot' ;);) Best mouse I've had (and I've 'had' them all)

Cause the Boomslang is going to trouce the m$, logitech 'toys', I just don't care for 'mechanical' mice anymore..... I game online against some pretty good folks, I intend to compete ;)

RAID 0, SATA performance?

It's the only way your going to 'light that box up' without throwing more money at intel (for now)..... Benching, performance for my box is about double (55 something single drive, 105-110 something 2xHDD RAID 0). Reality is faster starting, smoother play has been well worth it for me...

lol, No Way :P I just got the corded version today, kickx butte ;) Cordless stinks, of course ( got that one too, along w/the array of logitechs).... Oh ya, got mine for 29 bucks, taxed as usual & delivered..... Nice holdover till the boomslang optical :)

Overclocking question....

You'll never notice the differance unless compared side by side. I had 3 identical systems. 1 was never overclocked, 1 was moderately & 1 was always o/ced. BE6-II's/300a's. I got bored 1 day and switched cpu's thru 1 of the systems. The one never o/ced still had very good image quality...

Barracuda 7200.7 sata 120 gb seems noisey

My 'vote' would go to Maxtor DM9's. On this box they almost keep up with the Raptors (105M/ps vs. 115M/ps), and for us RAIDers, the most impressive flat data transfer wave you've ever seen just plain AWESOME !!!! As far as Seagate on this box (lol), at 88M/ps, they will be up for sale after...

Automatic Voltage Regulator

Yes there can be a downside if you have an automatic voltage sensing psu as I have (no 110v/220v switch in back). It is known that this wave change you mention, causes the psu to set an in-correct voltage, i.e., it 'thinks' when you plugged it into 110v it's reading 220v, = *poof* An expensive...

Any safe method to open up a PSU and clean it?

"and wear gloves when you're at it." Little too much there unless there is some sort of bacteria or 'dust mites' we don't know of. Is it radioactive maybe :):):) LOL If ya gotta wear gloves, stay out, you don't belong in there. Just blow it out and be done with it ;)
