and if you didn't notice, all that does is stretch the game across a widescreen monitor. native widescreen would sure be nice in a modern game.

Couch for the HT room - new pics

P180 vs P182

well, i don't really see that as smokin. a p180 will cost $120 and the 320GB hdd will cost $80. so if the features really aren't that great, then i would say you're better off just buying the p180 and the hdd separate, because it's going to be cheaper anyways :P

need some accident advice...

your insurance will go up either way with the ticket, and from the insurance companies i've had, if you have a ticket that is coupled with an accident, they only put 1 of the 2 on your record. they can't jack your rates twice for the same incident.

I was actually looking at the 22" widescreen I'm still not sure about what my games will look like in widescreen. Anyone play BF2 on a widescreen display? Also, any chance my system would run BF2 @ 1920x1200 on a 24" widescreen?

well, what i did when i switched to linux, i s make a list of all the things i need to do with the machine. check email surf web print pictures, documents, etc load pictures from my digicam edit video from my video cam play games (list them all) listen to music etc once you have...

Windows XP pro remote desktop

simply: only one user can view the desktop at a time. no matter how you slice it, either A or B is gonna see the desktop, not both. now if you use something like vnc, then you can have multiple users at the same time, iirc.

Need Linux scripting help

at one point, I was doing a ton of debian installs, so I wanted to rsync the repository and could never get it to work. it was my first thought, but it seemed a little more difficult to set up than using wget. of course, it is way more secure, so that could have something to do with it.

you could write a vbscript, encode it, and place it in the startup directory. that way your password wouldn't be so hard to get, at least it wouldn't be in clear text. either that, or you could open up the program files directory to all users. not sure if that would fix your problem though...
