lol actually no i am the one who missed somthing.. u are correct the opteron will be on the Nforce 3 professional...amd is unveiling a new cpu soon, i forget what its called..the current barton core 3000+ series do support the 400 fsb..the opteron CPU's and the other new chip to be introduced...
OK so the A-Bit board really sounds like a good board...i have my eye on the MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR, but ive heard somthing about the power phasing MSI uses...is it true MSI only uses a 2 power Phase board...while all the other "big dogs" use a 4 or 6 Phase power board

well bobby thanx very much for the info... now the best thing to do would be to buy a celeron 2.0 and sell the whole comp for a few hundred....now the question of ages..........P4 with hyper threading... or the new XP3000+ series

wow man .. that is a pretty nice problem there...i can only think of one more suggestion (though it might be useless)..FIRST pull out all the memory and reinsert each stick by itself.. then attempt booting...inserting another stick after each successful boot...if that doesnt help also try pull...
well all this technical mumbo jumbo makes my head spin.. but i would have to agree from the benchmarks ive seen all over forums online.. the average FPS increase on a AGP 8x mobo is an average of 3-7 FPS..not a big increase at all... and if u think about it the increase in FPS isnt even due to...

typically in the bios there is an option to reset your ESCD (i think thats right) set it to enabled and it should relase and reassign all irq's...also, regaurding disableing the onboard video, try to find a jumper on the mainboard that says enable/disable onboard vga..jumper settings are...
