ASRock 939 Dual board and PCI Express

I've been using this board for awhile now. My 9800 pro AGP card died the other day and I just replaced it with an X1900 card, PCI express. I put the new card in and tried to boot up, I'm getting power, all fans are coming on, I have a plug into the new video card but no video at all. no beeps...

10GB backup for $10/month

Online backup can be a great solution for some situations. I help support a small non-profit office, they barely use that much data, maybe 2 gigs at most. Awhile back I set them up with an old tape drive but no one would ever pull the tapes or take them offsite, it was overkill for them...

Rant about Verizon Razr V3M

I have the same phone, it came with ver 3 software. I flashed it back to ver 2, everything works. Then I went to the verizon store where they flashed it up to ver 4 and it retains all the features that they had originally removed. As other posters said, there is a massive amount of information...

Looking for suggestions for a network fax server

Funny, I was going to come in and tell you to look somewhere other than Castelle. Their tech support is horrible and the reporting out of the unit blows. I have two 8 port 7000 series units and they have yet to actually fix an issue with logging that they've had for years, ugh.

NAS storage device based on windows?

I've used a Dell NAS device with 2003 storage edition, I haven't been too deep into it but it seems to be pretty close to a standard server minus the ability to run certain services like Exchange or SQL. I'm sure it was in the middle or the low end of your price range but we do get a pretty good...

Do you have a server room? If so I'd start looking at the new place from now, like was mentioned to check power requirements, weight load bearing on the floors for racks, AC systems, etc...

That's what we did, we just finished moving over 100 people 20 miles, there was so much work involved it was insane. New phone systems, 50+ toll free numbers, fax lines, furniture, etc... Good luck!

Dell 710m comments? Anything similar?

I have a 700m, been using it for maybe 6 months. I got it during one of the coupon times. I like it a lot, the only issue I had in the begining is that the size of the keyboard takes a bit of time to get used to but after that it's great.

So how many of you have a commute?

Monday morning it took me 3.5 hours to cover 28 miles. Normally it takes me about 50 mins to 1:15. They are moving the location another 20+ miles away now though, ugh.

I have a red 1990 as a 2nd car. I have a wicked long commute and the milege is great plus it's a blast to drive. When I first got it one of my brothers was giving me crap about driving a "chick car" ... then he drove in it and couldn't believe how fun it really is. Everyone calls the thing a go...

Sorry, I didn't type the right thing earlier, I was remote desktop'd home from work and was getting asked many questions at the same time. I wish it was as silly as just not plugging things into correctly, I surely didn't force the wrong plug into the socket. I guess it's this cold boot issue...

Oh, I've cleared the CMOS more times than I can count. I started taking the battery out a few times too, nothing at all. My PSUs have the 20+4 type pin where the 4 are snapped on the end and you just unsnap them and plug them into the 12V line by themselves.

I got a 6 gig ipod mini and a mac mini for free through them awhile back. I'm going to get a free xbox 360 too. They can be very picky about following the rules EXACTLY but it is a legit company.

update antivirus over the network

I use norton antivirus corporate. You setup a server to download the updates and it pushes them over the network to all the managed clients.
