I emailed the guy at mushkin and he says these are winbond bh-5 chips and they are hard to find right now. they are programmed and tested like their level 2 parts. im anxious to get mine and test it.

i bought a 256mb at frys with bh-5 and there is a big difference between this one and the mushkin. for me, its like getting a stock bmw or getting one with leather, power steering, air. its the packaging and mechanics behind it not just the look.

the chips play a % but it is also the pcb, program, spd, and testing thats make the memory what it is.
its like buying a yugo or a bmw.. both are just cars but how it is built makes it the car of choice.
i got 2pcs and i am stoked. the black 3200 level 2 is $199 bucks.

These work at 2-2-2. i checked corsair and ocz at newegg and googlegear but they didnt have a 3200 222. since mushkin had it and they were a lot cheaper i figured i would share the info...

please explain to me why mushkin's quality has gone down. from what i see, they are on par with Corsair and their prices are lot more reasonable. They are making a strong push with Fry and my friend has told me that you can order them from PC Club as well.

I couldnt agree more. MUSHKIN all the way. Have never had a prob with them and Customer Service is TOP NOTCH. You actually talk to a live person and they are knowledgeable also. Tell them your board and they can help you from start to finish.
I got the 128MP3 USB and it sounds great!!!! My wife uses it when she walks and I used it at the gym. Best investment I made. I have been buying from them for about 2 yrs now.
I went with the mushkin black high performance II and am still happy with the performance. Half Life and Counterstrike are a lot more stable than generic. Bought Corsair and system wont boot. Never used Twinmos.
