Alright so I have recently been encountering a problem with COD2. I get massive artifacting on certain maps. Basically it looks like huge triangles and graphical error all over the screen. They come and go but they mostly happen when I look around too fast. I thought for sure this was...

Should I Upgrade?

I am always wanting to be on the cutting edge of technology and I think its time for me to sharpen up again. Take a look at the rig in my sig. Would I really notice much difference if I went to a X6800 setup. Would like to only change out the MB, CPU, and MEM. I play games like COD2...

Calling All Systems

Edit: I just got 103FPS after some overclocking of both the GPUs and the CPU. GPUs now at 575/850 (stock is 550/790) CPU is now at 2.52 GHz (stock is 2.2 GHz)

Upgraded from 3500+ Winnie to X2 4400+

Well like I said...I dont like the "laggyness" i get with dx9. I get like 60-70FPS usually but the game seems less fluid as it does with dx7 enabled. I have no idea why COD2 needs so much horsepower other than the fact that it was written like $hit for dx9.

Need advice on a new LCD

Like the title says...I've been looking to replace my VP2000s with something in a widescreen variety. First question is whether or not it would be worth getting a new monitor. I have had no real issues with this one expept that it is not widescreen and it only has a 16ms response time...

OK sounds like a plan. Do you really think that this is causing all the problems with the bios boot. I would think that overvoltage would only cause error once in windows and the processor is being taxed.

Like I said. The vcore is set to normal which is 1.4v. It is changing it automatically. Maybe if I put it at 1.4 instead of normal as the setting. I will try that. Do you really think that is causing these errors?

Noise is not really an issue but if I decide that the motherboard is too loud then I can just pop off those active fans and stick on some good passive heatsinks. Don't think I need to worry about it though.

Sorry that was an edit after he posted about the ram. What makes you say that abou the 3500..thought faster is alwasy better. Meaning that if I start out faster then when I overclock I will be able to achieve faster speeds.
