What happened to user reviews for T40 on CNET?

thx JZilla - Not as easy to find as it used to be. Also noticed no new reviews since 8/12. Makes me wonder if whatever new linkages they created messed this up or just no new reviews.

Interesting - No more user reviews on the t40 series over at cnet.com although I see they did leave the reviews for dell an maybe others - I did not check. So, is this a thing about who buys the most ad space or what?

Crucial memory for T40 -- problems?

Seems to be hit and miss ie mocca is fine with crucial fpr t40 and t40p, yet, I took out my crucial 512k from my t40p and no more crashes...They did refund my money past the 30 day mark too!. Will go with ibm next time they have a sale on 512k. Too bad I missed it. About 30 days ago I believe...

ThinkPad T40p dead pixels?

where can you dowload various lcd pixel tests? i have done the monitors direct tool kit tes, but maybe there are better ones or even a test inside XP that I don;t know about.

T40p -- Odd behaviour in UT2003

i have a similar problem with my T40P...Running game called devastation. Charater ould be running down the hallway and slow down as I need to make a corner. I had some issues when I loaded this game with other drivers etc and have since re formated my drive, but have not reloaded the game yet...

IBM T40 intermittent fan noise

whats a targus cool pad? How does it work and reduce heat? does it go under the laptop? I'd lik to find something very small 1/4" to put under laptop just to let it breathe a bit more althoug I know the vent is on the side.

IBM T40 Questions

IBM says its ok, but you do need to use the battery occassionaly so that when you charge it, it will charge to 100%...I'd reccomend once a week (to use battery down to 3%) assuming you are plugged in most of the time.

Where is the 512MB RAM located in the IBM T40p? under the keyboard or at the bottom?

I would concur with OP, however if you install another 512k module (like I did), access is on the bottom so its easy to add...

For that price, stay with IBM!... Rumor has it that some folks are having problems with crucial.com memory ie for t series & t40's myself included... That price may also be about the same anyway.

Finally got a T40

although I have a t40, I 'd still like to kno how to use Win XP and/or norton to image my HDD... If its not on the HDD what media are you putting all that gigage etc???

T40: anyone have windows crashes

Somewhat related to my modem problem, I got on occassion a windows error log that pops up a box and says sorry, but windows must close any open applications and it gives me the option to send an error report to MS after it does so... It can happen in IE or doing some task. Has occurred maybe...

My modem worked fine for 3-4 weeks. Then one day problems with getting a dial tone. (tried different wire, locations etc) I have used PC doctor to test the modem. Appears to be ok except for the no dial tone. Spoke to IBM went thru some things, they think a bad connector. Recc I send it in...

Does Thinkpad T40 have a firewire port?

I think IBM positions the t40's as a business machine, thus the USB 2.0 vs firewire which maybe more multimedia oriented. Could be other issues that I am not aware of too...
