hot plug and error correction/detection are available functions and dependent on the manufacturers. The onboard ICH5R on the P4P800 Deluxe doesn't have that functionality.
Lower power reqs are definitely a plus if you have a lot of components in your case.

BTW, I had a regular P4P800 which I tried to flash the bios on and it died. I didn't power down after flashing. I think there was a problem with the bios chip more than anything else. I rma'd it back to googlegear and asked if I can upgrade to the P4P800 Deluxe while I was at it and they said...

The thing to be most careful of is to reset the bios settings to defaults before flashing the new bios.
Even though the P4P800 has "Crash Free BIOS 2", the 1006 update actually updates the...
I don't think you'll see much of a difference unless you have an onboard SATA controller that by-passes the PCI bus. Even then, you need to use WD Raptors in a RAID0 config to maximize the speed. Of course the MB/dollar sucks too with the WD Raptors. Depending on what apps you use, it probably...
There's a thread in the motherboard forum about P4 2.4c or 2500+ Barton. There's about $100-$170 difference (cpu, mobo, memory only)

I think the fps is just for benchmarking purposes. The human eye can register at most 30 fps.
I think overclocking has more to do with computers being a hobby more than the actual performance and getting the most out of your equipment. It's like having a car with 500 horsepower. Why do you...
IQJUMPuw - The reason I was thinking about the AMD solution was to save a few bucks. But for longevity, Option 2 and 3 are a better choice, IMO. 800 fsb is the way to go and with the Athlon at the end of its lifecycle, I feel I might be in the same position a year or so down the line. I already...

Before you sink any money into this board, you should know that it's not very good. I know b/c I have one and I'm looking to upgrade.
It only supports 400mhz fsb processors up to 2.8ghz with the latest P14 bios.
It uses PC133 memory and the memory bandwidth is only about 940kb/s (1064kb/s...
