problem with USB 2.0 in XP

Any idea? I am backup some files on the harddrive and they are over 20 gig big. At this speed, it will take forever. I need help plz!

Problem with shutting down

It's been on and off for some time. I could flash the BIOS and most likely fix the problem, but next time the XP crashes the problem comes back.

Problem with shutting down

Very weird problem, don't know if it is XP or mobo. Now when I turn off the computer, it will shut down all the way, but then anutomatically start. What I've been doing lately is to reach to the back of the case to switch off the power. It is troublesome and I'd like to fix this problem. Thanks...

problem with USB 2.0 in XP

I am running XP SP1. The mobo doesn't support USB 2.0, but I installed a Iogear USB 2.0 PCI card. In device manager, it shows Ehanced PCI to USB controller installed. Of course, there are USB hubs there. I've tried both a Cruzer Micro 512mb, and a external USB 2.0 HD, the problem is read...

Ferrite Cores

What wires should be wraped around a ferrite core? I have one DV cable for the camcroder, three USB for two digicam and a USB wireless. Shuld they all be wrapped? On which end?

Can Apple HDD be reformated under Win XP?

Windows can not format it if it is not detected, right? I will need to format it outside of windows. I remember when I installed my second HD, it was not fromated and not detected, but it came with a bootable floppy disk which I used to format the HD.

Ok. I know G3 runs MAC. All I want is to reformat the HDD and use it under Windows. And you think it is OK. I wonder what happens when I pluged in a Mac HD to windows system. Will it be recoganized, even it is in a totally different format?

Not Hot: Cendyne Rebates being rejected! Cendyne Buyers beware!

In general, OMAX rebates are getting fishy. They send rebates to so many processing centers and everything seems a log messier now. I will stay away from OMAX big rebates for now.

You forgot to mention a thing called warranty. If you are covered, then you send your tv for repair, no matter how cheap it is. The question should be: if it cost $0 to repair, will you repair? the answer is yes.

For me the problem is the picture is not perfectly flat. I notice it when I watch new channels. The stremline comes out fine from the right, and goes lower and lower when it moves to the left. Not a big deal though. I am planning to call for the home service soon. I don't want to call now...

It doesn't matter. You ordered online, then you can print out order records from your account, and that will be fine. I have got about 20 rebates from OM this way and receipt was never a problem.

Same here. There are the most overburn friendly CDR I have seen. Some plastic smell, but nothing out of line.
