I have the E2C, which I think what you are referring to, and they're great. I have both foam and silicon covers, but I haven't used the foam yet. I got mine used and they've been great. I like that they are noise-cancelling, but also quite small. Let me know if you have anymore questions...
You do burn more fat in the morning. From what I heard it is because it speeds up your metabolism early in the morning and keeps it elevated during breakfast and possibly lunch. If you have the time, I would reccomend it.

Try looking at the options ("copy /?") for the copy command in the command prompt "cmd". I'm pretty sure you could add some strings that would make it copy only the files to an individual folder, and then you could just delete your current music folder.
