First, I charged it till the power meter shows 100 percent and the led on the right hand side turns off. Does not matter whether the computer is running or not.
Second, I disconnect the power and let the computer run on battery till the battery runs out of charge.

I have a Compaq 17xl463. I used to have this problem. I tried to reclaibrate and it seems to be OK now. Just drain the battery completely twice or thrice. I think it will work.:)
I had the same problem with my p4p800 and USB 2. Installing XP SP1 took care of the problem. After installing Sp1 you need to go to USB in the device manager and click (if I remember correctly) update driver. That installs the USB 2 drivers.
I did not feel any difference in performance. And I don't think i did anything else to get the AGP 8X recognized. By the way, revision 00 in radeon 9500 pro represents revision 100 which is > than 30. So no need to worry for guys who have this 00 revision. I got this information from one post...

Thanks, but I tried that. It is not even recognized when the bios is setting up. I don't think it is a software problem. Just wanted to know whether anyone has a similar problem and the possible remedy.

I mistakenly ordered PC3200 ECC Ram from Crucial for my P4P800 Deluxe. As I was not in a position to return them, I tried them on my board. It seems they are working fine. Only the ECC feature is disabled. Hope this helps.
