Rate at which a body cools?

I am doing a project for school and need to do a study on the rate at which a body will cool. Being an engineering student you would have thought i would have learnt this by now... sadly no, i am an EE student and either we never did, or i just don?t remember anymore. So here is the scenario...

WD 160GB for $99.99 CDN at Future Shop

Just an addon to this, Best Buy (canada) has the maxtor IDE 160g, 7200 rpm for $120, looks like no rebates too, just a price drop. Say, what would you guys recomemed picken up the WD for $100 (rebates) or the maxtor $120 (no rebates i think) ? Is the maxtor worth/justified for the $20 more?

Sapphire 9600 Pro: Does it use non-standard heatsink holes?

To my knowledge it should be the exact same hole set for all the radeons, i recently installed a Vga silencer on mine and it only has one set of holes for it, and it fit fine on my sapphire 9600p. Not sure if this helps at all tho.... good luck with that

Excellent! i was also considering a zalman video setup also, but this vga silencer is only $22 CND this week so why not. Thanks for the info

hey there, just before i go and do some ordering, does anyone foresee any problems putting a Zalman NB47J on my IS7 and a artic cooling vga silencer on my 9600 pro... I realize that the vga get up is overkill, but its on sale super cheap. I guess i am just worried about the Zalman cooling...

Please suggest cooling for 9600 Pro

same here, My Sapphire R9600 pro fan seems to be dying a slow death as well (crapy HSFs??)... too bad, Has anyone had any real experience with those artic cooling vga silencers? I know its overkill for a 9600 but its cheep ish and would look crazy on my card.. alternatly, are those iceberqs any...

ya i think thats what is goona need to be done, i thought p4 stock HS where supposed to be quiet, so i never bothered ordering a good one with my setup.... oh well, guess i need to do some poken around now for a good setup

hey there i got a p4 2.6c and was wondering if unplugging my stock HSF would be a good idea, cuz its friggen loud... am i goona get rediculous temps without the fan? (edit) ON Second thought that is retarded.... i guess a better question would be how might i power on all my fans, but not...

Hello, i need some help here, everytime i try and play COD demo, ET, or max payne 2 the game crashes imdiately after the level loads and its about to actualy play the game. i just did a reinstall like a week ago and ET would crash like the second time i played it and now COD and max payne...

No rumors, just facts of what happened to my 9700Pr with CAT 3.8's

Me too, was using those zany new Omega's so i nuked those for 3.7s and it runs fine now. On a side note my roomate has a moded 9500 with the omegas(3.8?) and it runs fine, but my 9600p has the problems in that game... I'm not freaken out about the 3.8s just yet everything else was great up till...

The problem seems to have regulated its self ??? yay! All machines are now @ 69.11.YY.XXX we had videolan going yesterday, i'm postive its was a completly diffrent set yesterday for the other 2 boxes (never wrote it down, like all a 3 number combo, and not 192.168.1.10X that i would get...

Mail ordering video card in Canada: tips?

I highly recommend Dangeo, they are actually out of Calgary so shipping would be like nothing for you ( no pickups... ). They also offer a great pricematch feature, and they will match any non cash discounted price ( they do cash ones too, but tack on like 3%) from any shops that ship Canada...

Front panel blue lights on Antec Sonata

No kidden those lights are bright with straight up connection to the ps :-). Heck, i never knew there were lights there till some guy in a forum said he hooked up his and they had a "nice soft glow" to them.... Guess you could also toss in a voltage divider or a buncha diodes to drop it to...

Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro OC questions

hey there, i just put a sapphire 9600 pro in my defaults where the same as you with Omega's clock util.. I can get 526/351 to run ok but there are some artifacts when its pushed... what i am wondering is, i get the same amount of artifacts all the way down to 330ish, could it be a bad ram...

thanks for the input, ok, i riped out everything and then reseated the cpu, it seems to be firmly in place. I just got a stock heatsync on the cpu now. I just put the heatsync right on the cpu, no grease or nothing. I'm asumming that grey square bit of whatever on the the bottom of the...

hey man, I'm assuming you got the card from best buy? Any extra "goodies" come with the card or it just the straight up card in the box? Im really in no position to dish out advice since i've never used this but... If you are looken for a killer setup, consider a Zalman vga heatpipe its like...

hey again, ya i think i might go with dangeo, you heard anything about them? they seem to be fairly cheap. The video card issue is really holding me back now too... not sure if i should drop cash for a gooder now, or just go cheepo for a bit, then make a jump to a better card... Anyone got...
