A few years ago I signed up for about 10 mags (from a few different related sites, one was freebizmag.com): -espn the mag -sports illustrated -egm -gamepro -pc mag -pcworld -playboy -rolling stone -some other mags for my family. I gave the link to other friends and we all got our free magazines...

What's a good program to scan for wireless access points?

i've never used it but airsnort is supposedly good. it has a windows port now but it was born in linux.

i would say get the 2500+ barton. it runs for $94, so much cheaper for not much less. i have it and i love it.

hehe no. i was offered a job from vector (the company that sells cutco) but i turned it down. its pretty good pay but lots of work. once you go around to all the people u know and start trying to find new people it gets tough.

henckles isn't that good. doesn't last too long. the best is cutco. lifetime warranty and free sharpening, but nevertheless a lot more expensive. it's worth the price though cause you should ideally be able to keep them for your whole life and they'll still be as sharp as when u bought them.

Whats wrong with my hard drive?

I would say the most likely culprit is too many background processes. That's what always gets me. When I do a fresh install (reformat first) the computer is blazing, but when i add zone alarm, nav, cd-rw software, wireless network software and all the drivers speed is reduced by a lot. Maybe...

No you're right. My backup plan was to throw the maxtor into my computer and send the files from that maxtor to the wd 120gb in the old dell. The reason i was trying to avoid that was because thats more of pain since i already had the maxtor in the old computer. Now i have to swap hard drives...

yeah i do but i'm at work right now...could just hook it up to my machine but that would mean i would have to network the computers and transfer the files that way. it seems that there are so many hard drive/mobo incompatibilities these days. i have been having a lot of those type of problems...

Hard drive problem with winxp

I have a friend who has an old dell. It has win xp pro on it and had a Western Digital 20GB drive and a WD 120GB drive. I swapped the WD 120GB out for a Maxtor 120GB drive to do stuff with the Maxtor. The BIOS recognizes everything correctly however, when win xp starts up there is a problem...
