you're right. saw it at techbargains w/o doing the math myself. They said 331.
Title fixed. My bad. But still good for $342. But the tax is a pain if you live in those states.
From Dell:
1) Dell BFG 7800 GT
2) Add to your cart
3) Add $11.05 worth of anything to make your total cross $500
4) Enter Dell home customers coupon code to subtract $60
Total should be $342 if you're not paying tax
coupon expires 8/12
I already have a 7800GTX (from dell)...
Am I missing a coupon? I got the 20% off small business which brings the card down to 533.60 from 667. But that's no where near the prices you guys are getting?
Hi folks
I managed to get one Maxell spindle at Staples that is made in Japan and it was MIJ, of course. What's cool is that I was able to find buck load of Made in Japan DVD+R spindles at the office depot here in San Diego. I just used the Staples advertisement and pricematched to get 2...
confirm that San Diego Compusa has verbatim for 3.99 each or 11.97 for 3pk.
I went ahead and bought 5 paks.
Great great deal for the moment.
My NEC 3520 is going to eat these up.
just to add my stuttering problem.
This really sucks because I assume that stuttering was fixed with my card after modded bios because I have no stuttering in CS:S and Far Cry.
It never ends.
I seems to me that most people here have audigy 2 cards. May be it's audigy 2 driver...
so what's the consensus here? Did 66.93 fix the video encoder issue or not?
Haven't tried mine yet but just want to see what other people's experiences are. I'm happy with 66.81 and wouldn't want to change to 66.93 if it didn't fix the problem.
Damn I want one too. I'm really surprised and disappointed that Newegg doesn't carry it yet.
I really need to replace my epox 8KDA3J. This piece of crap and its voltage fluctuations are driving me crazy.
to revive an old thread:
the 1mb clawhammer CG is a terrible overclocker. I wish i had gone with the newcastle.
Right now, I have a 3200+ 1mb clawhammer CG and the max i can go is 2.31Ghz (that's with 1.6V vcore too). If i get to 2.35, it would fail prime 95 after 2 minutes.
The...
Did anyone buy the crucial 3200 512MB single-sided module from newegg recently? especially over the labor day weekend sale special. I got one today and it was made in puerto rico. The 2 other modules I bought 3 weeks ago were the same as this one except they were made in the UK. The puerto...
Too bad I already have a PNY else I would jump on this. The bad side is that CA and some other folks have to pay $27 tax! But it still beats what I paid for my PNY.
Also, does anyone know whether this is the new BFG with the NON-reference HSF? This is important because the non-reference...
I got mine to run at XT speeds but far cry would show flashing yellow artifact in certain environment. The weird thing was, doom 3 doesn't seem to show any artifacts. Yellow, flashing artifact is a sign that you have a bad pipe in the 4 that you just unlocked. I returned my x800pro and stuck...
Newegg's labor day sale has this single-sided crucial ram for $78. I have two of these in my system right now and they work wonders on an Athlon 64 system.

Hi, here's all the info on the BBA x800 pro I bought at the Mission Viejo store here in California:
Side sticker info:

-UPC: 727419411523
Serial number found on top of box:
S/N: 630430004158 - 01
The RAM version I have was Samsung GC16...
my ATI is BBA. My 6800gt was PNY. PNY card are great overclockers, though.
By the way, I do notice a little better image quality on my x800xt now. the 6800gt IQ was good with the 66.00 drivers but not as good as ATI's.
Wow, my 3dmark2001 jumped to a 26, 400. The old 6800gt gave me...
Until 30 minutes ago, I was a proud owner of a 6800gt. I decided to buy a x800pro at compusa and modded to x800xt using the sticky instructions at ocforums.
I followed the directions exactly and now I'm running at 526 Mhz core and 573 Mhz memory.
I tried 3dmark2003 without any artifacts...
Just to reiterate the facts:
-All newcastle's are CG revisions.
-NOT all clawhammer's are CG. Depending on where you get your CPU's, you might get a CO clawhammer.
-Your best bet is to buy a clawhammer from Newegg. Their stock is pretty new and I got a CG clawhammer from them.
-Although, in...
charloscarlie,
Is this the second CG that you have tried that's a clawhammer? If that's the case, then may be there's something to this speed capping business. Or on a less sinister note, the 1MB cache makes it really hard for the clawhammer to overclock stably over 2.3GHz. The CG newcastle...
i'm running at 1024x768 @ 75Hz
And Optimummind, it's interesting that you notice my screen name. I named it after a drug because I am a med student and drug names have the most obscure sounding ring to them, which is what I want.
i notice this with my pny 6800gt too. But after removing the monitor and tightly secure it to the vga slot, the text becomes clear again. I don't know why that works but it works. It's NOT because the cable wasn't secured before because it was. Sometimes this happens for no reason. I think...
Did you have trouble overclocking yours?
I am also experiencing trouble with mine. But I think it's just my ram. I have corsair xms 3200, which I have read is not stable under a64 for OC. So I dished out money to get an OCZ 3500EB instead.
If there's a pattern here then AMD is doing...
I just bought a 3200+ 1mb clawhammer OEM from newegg 2 days ago it was CG.
I know because it says AR at the end and when I use cpu-z it says revision CG.
Isn't there a thread on this already? It doesn't really matter.
PNY 6800GT from compusa
OC with coolbits 1 @ 423/1180 with stock cooling
Temp: 53C idle, 63 after 1 hr of doom 3
3dmark03: 12300
System: P4 2.6 @ 3.12 Ghz; 1GB of corsair xms ram; p4c800-e deluxe; audigy 2 zs platinum; Quantum...
don't feel bad. I'm actually very happy with my PNY 6800GT. Got it at compusa.
It OC at 423/1180 with stock cooling and idles at 54C. I get 12300 on 3dmark03.
I don't know, I have read posts from hardocp and it seems the PNY is able to OC at higher clock/memory and is cooler.
I'm happy with...
