Any word on if they added the "maximize to current screen" feature for surround / triple display users? This feature was included in windows 7, but is missing from 8 nvidia control panel.
That case sounds like more than enough airflow. I would also be worried about all that hot air dumping into the case but with 2 HUGE 200m fans you should be fine. Make sure to use EVGA precision X to set custom fan curves on the GPUs. (I like mine aggressive when i wear my headphones /...
Tommy if your budget is 550~$ you should probably get a pair of EVGA 760 4gb. Just an idea to consider on Nvidia's side! (I only have experience with Nvidia surround so i can't make any recommendations on that side.)
Here are some SLI reviews of the 760 4gb but the highest res they test at is...
Very few games the VRAM scale north of 2gb... HOWEVER as soon as you turn on FXAA (or really any flavor of AA since there are several) you WILL see games go over 2gb. I game at 5760x1080 and I love it. I have an EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ 4gb and i just bought another to really push it. I fully...
I have a single GTX 680 4GB FTW+ (EVGA) and it really performs well at 5760x1080. However for newer games ill likely need another and SLI again. For reference, ive put 100+ hours into skyrim with hires texture pack and everything set on highest settings at 5760x1080 with a constant 30-50 FPS.
I'm in a tough spot, i have 2 GTX 570s in SLI but id love to get ONE 680 now and another 3-4 months down the road. The problem is im not sure if its worth all the hastle. (I game at 5760x1080)
This thread is all over the place
PLEASE READ THIS : You must have SLI to use nvidia surround (I have a 5760x1080 NV surround setup)
Also a very important part of my experience, VRAM is the most limiting factor at such a large resolution. After spending lots of money on my new computer i wish...
I have the multiplier at 44, but its on turbo mode so it only pushes the 2600k to 4.4ghz when its "needed"
I'll try turning that off though that's a pretty good idea.
It kinda does feel like a mobo BIOS problem but i looked through the entire BIOS and couldn't find anything helpful.
But yes the 8x 8x thing was the first thing i looked into after reading about other peoples similar builds.
The cards are in the proper slots and are running at 8x each (I know this because in nvidia control panels additional info it shows those details)
I have no other expansion cards of any sort.
RIGHT after the crash i go into hardware manager, the 570s are reporting "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
wtf?
Here is an image of the crash which happens right after i click "enable SLI"
This is the same crash, even after driver sweeping everyhing and installing the new beta

Can someone link to the "best" newest driver cleaner... all the ones i find are on sketchy sites and old versions etc... someone link one they've used and trust please?
Thanks!
@Notty22 i have tried both cards in both slots solo and switched in every configuration, both cards are good. I even...

Well turning Vsync on did significantly reduce the whine, however there is still some there. I guess since my new computer is so quiet even the slightest buzz or whine is noticeable. I would say turning vsync on reduced whine by about 80% ... so now its more than tolerable.
Still sorta...
Ugh, its been 2 weeks and the noise is so annoying, anyone else having the problem?
I want to RMA but i don't want to be video cardless and stuck waiting.
