I updated mine to OS2 today. The playbook got a bad wrap, but I would not trade it for any other tablet. Do not forget to download asphalt 6 and modern combat 2. Both just went free in app world.
I Hope my new system can play it ok as i know my wife will not allow me to upgrade again. My 1 gig card may not be enough, but as i don't really use AA or high levels of AF much I might be fine.
Since when is Evga the only decent player? That is an opinion. Every card I ever owned from them died a quicker death than it should have. I never owned one that even reached 2 years of age. So IMO they lack also.
I just bought my first XFX card (with the dual bios) and I hope it sticks...
I got the same card except mine is the XXX version for $209 a couple weeks ago. That deal has died.
I did find this ti560 for $200 that you might be interested in: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...c&promoid=1317
It also comes with Just Cause 2 & Mafia 2 Coupon for Digital...
The Nvidia cards are severely handicapped by their smaller frame buffers at high res multi- monitor setups. I think it hurts SLI a bit and makes tri-sli useless on them.
I would like to see someone crunch some numbers by SLI'ing that 3gb 580 on the market. Not in relation to HARDocp's review...
I think the reference cards are about a 1/2-3/4 of an inch longer. They should still fit, although like I said earlier you may have to relocate a hard drive if you have one aligned with the card.
Someone asked if this is an april fools joke? I SURE HOPE SO!!
Well here are the specs!LOL

I never tried the hotkey method yet. I will try that when I get home. I did try to boot them from a cold boot..both would display right until it should have made it to the login screen, then both went off. I will also try rolling back the driver from 11.3 to 11.2 to see if that helps...
I did add custom resolutions for 720p 50 and 60hz, also switched auto detect to manual, same result. If I hook the tv or monitor up by themselves, they work. If I hook them up the same time, the monitor goes black and the tv reports the mode is not supported.
I tried hooking the tv via the...
I got my new rig today. It has an XFX hd6950. My monitor is hooked up via DVI. When I try to hook up my LCD tv, the monitor goes blank, and the tv displays "Mode Not Supported"
Both worked fine with my HD4870 card. Am I doing something wrong here? Any help would be appreciated
How many damaged cards or non damaged cards, makes no difference to me. What bothers me some about this is Nvidia seems to be depending quite a bit on software to protect their hardware in the 590. The hardware itself should be more fail safe and protecting itself.
For the past month, NCIX has had at least one 5770 for 100 bucks after MIR
Powercolor Radeon HD 5770 PCS+ 875MHZ 1GB 4.9GHZ GDDR5 2XDVI HDMI DP DIRECTX11 Price: $100.09 CAD after $20USD MIR
Of you want to go slightly higher, for $10 more you can get a 5830
XFX Radeon HD 5830...
If they clock down on older games when not being stressed, to me that is actually a good thing. Not only will it prolong the life of the product, but it will also present relief to your electrical bill.
I still play many older games. It would be nice to have a card automatically downclock...
I just got a very good deal on an XFX HD 6950 1GB XXX that is overclocked to 830/5200. It should arrive in the next day or two and when it gets up and running, it is going to be down clocked to default speeds. Even though all my ATI cards lived a long life or continue to live on, I am not going...
OK something just is not right here. Now 590 cards ran at default speeds and voltages are dying? How could this have ever made it past Nvidia's Quality Control?
I had 7 and 8 series cards die on me but I usually got at least a year out of them first. I always believed they died young because...
I tossed an 8800gt away thinking gave up the ghost for good. I wish I would have kept it. I think I do have an old Evga 7900gs still kicking around that died years ago. I kept it around to RMA it but never bothered to do so!hehe I might toss that in the oven, but I would be afraid of killing my...
I guarantee you it would be noisy in comparison to what I am used to. I was not allowed to go high end this time around. Here is the card I am currently waiting for to get delivered. http://ncix.com/products/?sku=59117&...anufacture=XFX
My wife would divorce me if I tried to buy the 590...
What I think happened is nvidia rushed their product to market in an attempt to counter AMD's release and it backfired somewhat.
In a few weeks I bet the issue will be ironed out and those looking for the 590 will be paying close attention to the revision/manufacturer date of the 590 to get...
Here is another one for the same price for Fellow Canucks. An XFX 6950 XXX overclocked Non Reference Design. $200 after $30 mail in rebate

Edit. It looks like you cannot link directly to the sale price, but if you go to the NCIX main...
I just purchased a 1gb model. Even though it has the dual bios, all I have heard is that the bios update to a 6970 only works with the 2gb reference models. It makes no difference to me though.
Sapphire makes fantastic cards. Evga gives great warranty service. I also miss BFG
Over the years, every Nvidia based card, with exception to 1, fried on me within a couple years. One old BFG mx440 still marches on. I never knew about the "baking" trick back then to fix video cards, as of the...
I personally do not understand why people overclock their videocards. In most cases it does not give hardly any benefit at all. In the rare cases it does, like with the 560ti overclocking headroom, you still will not see any benefit with a Phenom x4 driving it. All you are doing is stressing...
If you are in Canada i can send you a link to get an Antec Truepower 650 watt psu for $39.00 after a $30.00 mail in rebate. That is what I ordered and it will give you some breathing room.
I know exactly what you mean. 2 years ago I purchased a new E8400 rig. It still runs fast and top notch. Yes I have recently purchased a new SB rig (has not arrived yet), but only because my wife promised our son my current one as his machine is ready for retirement.
I am still very happy...
I am not a fan of Ultra Power supplies. If you shop around you will find a Seasonic or Antec supply for around the same price.
H67 boards are limited to 1333mhz memory. That memory you chose is also 1.65 volt memory, not recommended for sandy bridge boards. Search for 1.5 volt g.skill/mushkin...
I am kinda happy now that there was a Delay with the B3 motherboards. My order was still pending so I called NCIX and wiped that order and decided to replace it with a P67 Motherboard they had in stock. Here is my revised order.

I was reading about that board on Newegg. A few other were complaining about it also but after contacting MSI, they got it fixed due to something they did incorrectly with the power connectors: Here is an example.
"Other Thoughts: I had already posted a review mentionning that the board was...
