I ordered this from the egg, I was debating between the E2180, and the E8400.
For the price, this seemed like a good deal. I will be replacing a 939 X2 4200+, should be quite a difference in preformance (I hope). I got the gigabyte P35-DS3L MB and 4G AData Ram.
My main usage will be for...
I almost bought this MB but after reading the reviews it says it's picky about RAM and I bought 4G of patriot:(
A good deal if you have some good RAM and it has many features.
I ended up getting a Gigabit GA-P35-DS3L, with almost 900 reviews I hope it is a good MB.
I had to RMA the ECS...
The Egg has this MB for $55 after $25MIR, has anyone used this board, it has mixed reviews on NE?
I am planning on buying a e2180 to use with this and hopefully have a 3Ghz machine for less than $150.00 I have 4G of patriot ram laying here waiting to be used.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, "In Iran, we don't have homosexuals like in your country. We don't have that in our country. In Iran, we do not have this phenomenon.
That's because they have sheep and pedophilia is not considered wrong and the women are oppressed.
It was great...
Mods, plz delete this thread. For one it's not a hot deal. Who cares which coke tastes sweetest. It's a product of mexico, I think we have more than enough products from mexico in the US.
1. No
2. You don't get to decide that.
3. Lots of people in this thread do.
4. Then don't buy it...
Your right, they probably won't go much cheaper. I don't want to spend the extra required to go Core Duo with all the memory upgrades and a new MOBO. This will have to do for now.
I'm in for one, Thanks OP. Edited cause I hit reply too fast...Opps
I tried to resist...but my 3500+ was telling me to replace it.
I wonder how much these prices will drop? Maybe I should wait but I don't think these are going to go much lower. I remember when these were $220.00 when they first came out.
It's the classic...only 30 years later,
Do you buy HD-DVD or Blu-Ray.
Let me see if I remember right, Sony-Beta or VHS
I think this time, Sony may come out on top this time, sounds like Blu-ray is awesome. I am debating on buying the PS3 just to have blu-ray BUT I remember when DVD...
Thanks OP, I've been needing some more RAM.
I wonder why memory prices have jumped so much lately?
I am having a hard time jumping into the Core-Duo scene and having to buy high $ DDR2 memory. This will work great as stated before with the NewEgg - 3400+ Biostar combo!
I ordered this ATI AIW AGP Card for my HTPC along with the Biostar board.
At $85AR this should be a good and quiet card as it has no HSF.
I have had good luck with my Tiger Direct MIR's in the past, except for a gift card they issued me once instead of a check.
My other ATI 9600 AIW...

I didn't see it posted, sorry if it's a repost.
Try Sisoft Sandra, it is compatabile with most MB's and CPU's.
I have the XP-90 and I think it is the best (as I spent almost $90 from 3Dcool on the setup w/a few extras)
My 3500 venice needed a special adapter to put the XP-90 on top of my AMD CPU. Double check the hardware needed.

I was having problems with ATI's AIW 9600 (AGP) I reloaded O/S, used newest drivers and switched back to older drivers and I couldn't get it to work right. I tried the x600 PCI-E card too and had to RMA the card.
I finally switched to a PCI-E PNY GeForce 6600 (not GT). It seems to have...
I just put together a new system and ran some benchmarks w/sisoft sandra.
The Samsung SATA II SP2004C hard drive (52MB/sec) was slower that the Seagate IDE drive (53MB/sec).
XP Home is loaded on the samsung drive and the seagate drive is only for mp3's, video, storage, etc.
Is there...
This is a great O/S & storage drive, I bought one of these a year or so ago (for a hundo - thought it was a good deal then) and have since been through 3 maxtors - all of which hav ebeen RMA'd w/no problems. I really would like another but want to build a system w/SATA II.
This drive is fast...
