    I'm assuming that you have this ram. Make sure your timings are 2-3-2. You could try increasing the memory voltage to around 2.75V, but if it still doesn't work, RMA.

    The NB HS is actually pretty decent. Put some Arctic Silver on there and it works quite well. It'll help you out if you don't want to spend the money on another HS. I got up to 205MHz on my 1.04 A7N8X and stopped there. If you can't get that high, your proc might also be holding you back.

    Yup, it's just standard ethernet. A patch cable works fine if you're using a hub. However, if you're connecting to xboxes together directly, you'll need a crossover cable. No "might" about it. =P

    Not as sharp as in out of focus? Make sure you press the button half-way down until the camera focuses. You'll see a green dot in the viewfinder when it's ready. Then you press the button the rest of the way down. =)

    Sorry, what I should have said was your ram will be guaranteed to work at 200FSB. As always, YMMV with overclocking, but with PC3200 memory, you know your ram isn't holding you back. =)

    Asus A7V8X-X & AMD Athlon XP 2500+ problem

    I doubt there's a jumper, but you can just set the FSB to 166. With the locked multiplier (11x) it should run at the default speed. Also make sure that your memory is running 100%, synchronized, or DDR333 (I'm not sure what your bios will call it).

    I have an A7N8X (non-deluxe) and it's wonderful. The A7N8X-E Deluxe has gigabit ethernet and a slot for the Asus WI-FI card. The gigabit ethernet is worth it for $2 IHMO. If you get another machine with a gigabit nic and some CAT 5e, you can get some really speedy file transfers going...
