Thanks happy but the link you gave me is of someone using 2 single slot GT boards and not 2 dual slot wide GTS boards.
I'm still searching for my answer.
Thanks

Happy --- thanks for your link. This guy has two 8800gt cards not 8800gts (dual slot wide) cards. I need to find someone with the MSI mobo who is using two "dual slot wide" nvidia grahics boards working in SLI.
Thanks

I just bought an MSI P6N Diamond 680i motherboard and I want to run SLI with
two eVGA 8800GTS 512mb video cards.
Here's the graphics board link
It's a BIG video card which takes two slots due to the big cooling fan. The P6N has 4 PCI-e slots but I would need to put the SLI cards in the...

Or you can buy an eVGA card and have 90 days to use their step up program if the new cards are worth it. I'm pretty sure they will be on the street in 90 days.
That's what I'm doing. And by the way I'm going with the new eVGA 8800GTS 512mb because at stock speed it's faster then the 8800GT...
I'm just now building a new system and have been asking myself this same question.
I've moved ahead because my strategy is to buy a 680i mobo that I can upgrade to a new processor down the road if I want to and get a new 8800GTS G92 512MB screamer graphics board for now and when I need more...
I just got a Q6600 from Fry's on BF for $198 with an ECS MB that is junk, so I'm now off to research a new mobo for my new Quad baby.
I want to make this system last a few years so my thoughts are to get an SLI mobo and for now only use 1 Geforce 6800GT card and then by a 2nd one in about 6...
Well -- I wasn't about to get up and go sit out in the cold to wait for anything. So after I woke up today and had coffee and browsed the Fry's ad I strolled down the street to the Fry's here in Houston (Webster) near the Nasa Space center. I got there about 11:30 pm and thougth everything...
Well I'm continuing to find out more info.
I have now confirmed that my board WILL accept a 3.06ghz 533FSB CPU. Now the big issue is will my motherboard support Hyper threading because it appears that the 3.06ghz/533 FSB ONLY comes WITH hyper threading.
The place I bought my computer from...
Hey funboy,
I'm a newbie also and have the same Barton 2500+ set up and want to try to overclock mine.
Any chance that you can pass on the same "easy newbie" steps or info that got you through this first time so that I could try it also?
Thx
I have a Gigabyte GA8IHXP rev 3 P4 I850E 533 FSB motherboard with Rambus memeory (it's about 2 years old).
I'm running a 2.4ghz PC now but want to upgrade to the best CPU that I can install.
I went to the Gigabyte website and the best I can tell is that I can go to a 3.06mhz P4 northwood with...

Bummer... I was hoping it would have been retail. Oh well.
I can't wait to get mine. It's on its way via UPS now.
Let us all know how the overclocking goes and what settings work best.
Thx
Yup...now looks like they are all out.
Mine shipped via UPS today.
Has anyone received their order of this vidoe card from Overstock.com yet???

I just ordered on one these cards from Overstock.com. I got a 20% off coupon thru techbargins.com.
I got mine for $182 shipped.
what I like about this card is that it comes with a bunch of heatsinks on the front and back. Also has a cool looking blue GPU fan and also includes an easy to use...

I'm thinking of getting this heatsink.
Couple of questions for those that have gotten it...
1) Does thermal paste come with it or do I need to buy it seperate?
2) I have an Abit NS7-s with a Barton 2500+. Am I going to need a copper shim that I've seen some website push you to get when...

The folks that do the reviews on this unit seem to rave about it.

Here's a review on these ear phones. Seem pretty good but the issue of the wirews rubbing on your close and you can hear it in the earphones is wierd.

Also.... you can get them new for $94.
I'd sure like to hear what others that...
