Help heatsink attachment for my 1st computer.

yea man, just use that thermal pad that came with the retail heatsink, that should be good for overclocking, just watch your temps.

I have the lastest bios for the board. And when i set it to 8x i keep on getting vpu recovery, and when its on 4x that doesnt happen, but i dont get to run 3d games or apps. motherboard is this....motherboard

you guys wanna know something weird....i got the 3d games to work, but only if i have the agp speed set to off, it will not work with 4x or 8x. what the hell is the problem?

ok here the specs 1600xp new gigabyte mobo 512 pc2700 and a 9600 pro. installed the drivers no prob, but i try to play a 3d game, like leisure suit larry. all i get a black screen,, and then comes back to the desktop, same happens with 3d mark03 and aqua mark, i just pulled the video card...

ok heres the deal, just bought a new motherboard, i put a 1600xp in it and i tried running pc2700 with it, could that be the problem my pc wont boot up... the mobo i have is motherboard i get no beeps or anything...:(

evga is good, and comes bundled with doom3, personally i went with a leadtek 6800 gt and love it, no probs at all!!!!!!!!!!!!

i wouldnt buy one. thats my opinion. you can get a brand new 6800nu for about 270, and that is only lik 20 bucks more with no worries.
