    Need help diagnosing temp readings

By using TAT to give it a full thermal load, here are the readings now (which are corrected): (e6850 3GHz G0 Proc and a GA-P35-DQ6 motherboard) Tcase: 64c Core 0: 75c Core 1: 74c Core 0: 25c to Tjunction remaining Core 1: 26c to Tjunction remaining

    Need help diagnosing temp readings

So right now, this is what CoreTemp shows: (Idle sitting here as I type this post) Ambient room temp: 24c Tjunction: 85c Core 0: 21c Core 1: 21c In SpeedFan my Tcase temp is 30c. (I'm assuming this is correct and doesn't need the +15c added to it?) So, if I "correct" those, it...

    Need help diagnosing temp readings

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I also have Core Temp 0.95 and it gives me the same (close enough) readings as Speedfan and TAT. They all match up for the core temps. All three programs are boderline between 25c and 27c. Right now Speedfan and CoreTemp 0.95 are reading the exact...

    Need help diagnosing temp readings

I'm been reading about this a lot and I just can't understand what is going on here. I've read the temperature guide at Tom's Hardware and that makes sense. What doesn't make sense is the readings that I'm getting on my system. My mobo is a GA-P35-DQ6 with an e6850 3GHz proc - defaults on...

Whats up with this adding +15c to temp readings?

So is it safe to say that my reading of 27c delta to tjunction is accurate even though it reads 85c?

Whats up with this adding +15c to temp readings?

So on my e6850 the tjunction is set at 85c. Then when I was running with a full load, core temp showed a delta between tjunction as about 27c. But I thought the procs had an incorrect tjunction? I read somewhere that my procs tjunction should be 100c. heh - more confusion - sweet!! ;-)

Whats up with this adding +15c to temp readings?

I remember that all of mine read the same thing too, including CoreTemp 0.95. This is crazy.. So basically none of us really know what the real temp of our stuff is.. haha So is this an Intel bug in the proc or what? I do know that my e6850 shows the tJunction as 85c but that I heard...

Whats up with this adding +15c to temp readings?

Hey all.. I've seen people mention that you have to add +15c to your temp readings. Is that just for some procs or all of them? How do I know if I have a proc that I need to do that with? Mine is an e6850 3GHz C2D. The next question I have is what program will display the proper...

    Gigabyte P35 Motherboard Thread

Hey guys, I put my GA-P35-DQ6 system together last night with an e3850 proc and 2 sticks of the Ballastix Tracer DDR2 800 ram. I loaded the bios and set to optimized settings and installed XP. One thing that I did not change was the voltage for the ram. So I'm guessing it's running at 1.8v...

    New Rig

I got the P182 case myself and man, what a great case. I'm glad I spent the extra cash for it. I'd go with it for sure. I also just bought a new system and I just put it together last night. I went with the Corsair 620hx PSU - look up the reviews on that one. It's rated a very quiet PSU and...

CPU Temps for Stock e6850 (3GHz)

@nyker96: I thought that the +15 thing was only for certain procs. How do I know if mine is one of them? If you're right, then my temps are about 73c? (58c + 15c) For some reason that doesn't sound right. Can anyone else chime in here and help me make sure I understand what my correct...

CPU Temps for Stock e6850 (3GHz)

CPU Temps for Stock e6850 (3GHz)

The room temp is 23.8c and the cpu cores idle at 25c. How do I find the CPU temp and the core temps? I'm guessing that TAT shows the two cores. Speedfan has this showing - which is which? Idle Temps for SpeedFan v4.32: Temp1: 46c Temp2: 31c Temp3: -2c HD0: 40c Core 0: 23c Core 1: 23c...

Hey all, Last night I just put together a new system with a GA-P35-DQ6 mobo, a e6850 3GHz Duo proc, and 2 gigs of ram. I ran ortho last night as well as the ATI tool to see if the system was stable under a system load as well as a video load. Six hours later, the TAT tool is telling me...

Hey guys.. I just ordered my system yesterday with the GA-P35-DQ6 board, Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 ram (BL2KIT12864AL804), and an Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0GHz Retail. I've read this entire thread about 3-4 times now and I want to make sure I understand what I...

I went ahead and placed my order for my system. I don't really care for the other slot it's just there I guess and can be used for other stuff if I ever have it. @cmdrdredd: Ahh.. Well, I don't have to have SLI today.. I just want to order today. THey don't have the board I want (GA-P35-DS3P) so I was just going to get the other one (GA-P35T-DQ6). It's more money but it has the extra cooling for OCing and -could- support an SLI config if I wanted to...

Ah ok. I see the difference now. I really want to order all of this stuff at once and I have the itch really bad to get this stuff ordered so I thought maybe that board would work well for me. If they had that other mobo I'd just get the ddr2 800 and call it done but they're out of stock...

I don't know if it does S3 well or not, it's just a gamble I'm going to have to take. :-/ Newegg doesn't have the Gigabyte board that I want in stock but they have another board (GA-P35-DQ6) that uses the DDR2 1066 ram instead of the DDR2 800. Is that just a joke? Money really it's too...

I mis-interpreted what I was having suggested to me. I'm going with the Corsair 620HX or whatever it was. It's a single rail PSU but is advertised as 3. I think I'm pretty sold on the Corsair after reading the reviews that BenchZowner suggested to me.

I really was going to go for the eVGA boards because they have a lifetime warranty - unless they changed that of course. A lifetime warranty speaks to me - especially when it's 3+ years down the road and it starts to crap out. You know what the warranty on that XFX XXX one is?

@chiew: If I overclock it, is it in software or do you change the firmware and re-flash it? If it's software then I might think about this one. The reason I liked the KO one is because of the extra cooling it has on it. Plus it's overclocked already and I won't have to worry about it - and...
