Need track day tires

I agree with this. The star specs are excellent in the wet and very very good in the dry. During an autox last summer it rained in the afternoon and my times didn't go down nearly as much as others on different tires.

Bike tires won't pump up completely?

I find that the mini pumps should only be used in "emergency" situations since they are not designed for high pressure pumping. When I've used mine I can never get near the pressure I want but always enough to get me where I'm going after a flat.

yes, they check. However, if you are only slightly off and the rate is the same, they will let it go through. I sent out two packages last week and underestimated the weight by a couple of ounces but the rate was the same so they let them go through.

For that sort of budget I recommend looking for a used bike. I got a nice older 10 speed road bike from craigslist for around $100 last summer. Just make sure to try it out and make sure it is the correct size before buying.

Do you need a passport to go on a cruise?

I don't think you need one to get on the ship in the US, but if you are docking somewhere else you won't be allowed off the ship w/o a passport. So unless you want to be stuck on the ship the entire cruise, get a passport.
