I'm looking for an economical 40" or so TV to hang in our office that will turn ON/OFF according to a schedule and play images from the USB Drive....any suggestions?
Vizio and Samsung do not make any TV's that can do that...according to support chat.
You made some very good points, perhaps a less expensive laptop...I want her to be able to take her "work" with her when she comes to my office for a few hours while mom is at work.
As for a tablet...I guess she could always use her iPad.
We decided to homeschool our 10 year old daughter and I want to purchase her a laptop so she can take it with her when my wife takes her on trips to the museum or other field trips.
What do you think about these models, any pros/cons or tips would be greatly appreciated. It's going to be either...
Do you mean extra CPU as in a Dual CPU Server, or are you talking about the different versions of CPU's and the cores they have?
I assumed that all software would take advantage of Dual CPU's or is it more correct to say that Dual CPU's will help the overall performance of the server?
I can almost guarantee you that the cables in the building are at least 10-15 years old. I will make sure we test the cables in the building we are moving into to make sure they can handle 1Gig.
Thank you all for the continuing valuable information, I've been copying/pasting it all into my Word doc for future reference.
I'll take a look at 10K RPM Drives, seems like investing money in them over a dual-cpu setup may be a better idea. As for the 32Gig vs. 16Gig...that's a pretty minor...
The building we will hopefully get into is old, but I will be able to get new switches/routers to make sure we are running 1Gig. Nothing will be purchased until it's a done deal.
Not sure what the specs are on the old file server, but its got to be at least 10 years old and running Server 2000...

This is the accounting guys PC that currently holds the Datafile for Peachtree:
- "Dell i5, Win7 Pro, 8 Gigs of Ram, not sure about the hard drive but I believe it's a standard 5400 or 7200rpm?"
The "Dell PowerEdge T430 PowerEdge T430 Server DUAL - Processor" was what I was...
Thank you for the tips...I'm a guy, what can I say...I like overkill.
Perhaps the best way to go is get a server that can handle 2 cpu's but only go with 1 for now and that gives me room to expand. Same with the ram, I can start with 16gig and go from there. Can you install the 2nd CPU later...
Thank you everyone for taking the time to post your comments and suggestions...I always find it amazing that people are so willing to help.
After doing a bunch of research I found that Peachtree in Multiuser mode is optimized for Windows Server 2012. Seeing that we will not be exceeding 25...
The current desktop is a Dell i5, Win7 Pro, 8 Gigs of Ram, not sure about the hard drive but I believe it's a standard 5400 or 7200rpm?
The version of Peachtree we are using is multiuser.
I'm not sure about the size of the data file or the size of the reports. Checking that at this moment...
We currently run Peachtree / Sage 50 off of the accounting guys desktop, he also uses this PC for normal day to day responsibilities.
The data file is on the above desktop.
There are a total of 3 users who point to his PC and they always complain it's slow and takes forever for simple...
I read a ton of reviews and narrowed it down to the below 4 models. (FYI: I don't care about 3D)
I am going to purchase the 120" ProjectoScreen120HD from Visual Apex and use it outdoors. I will of course wait till at least Dusk and for the sun to go down behind the neighbors home. We plan on...
That is within my budget, the only thing that bothers me about this projector is that the Optoma HD26 has a 2x Color Wheel that is more susceptible to the Rainbow Effect.
I was looking at the BenQ W1070 which has a 6x Color Wheel (less chance of rainbow effect) but "only" 2000 Lumens.
Thank you for the info.
Wow...even with a 1080p projector 144" would look blocky?!? How about 120"?
People will be sitting I would guess 10' and farther in the grass and patio.
I guess I just wanted to make sure the entire movie would be displayed and nothing would get cut-off.
Yes...I am wanting to go 144" Diag.
Perhaps I will look around for a 1080p projector, but it seems most of them are DLP and I wanted to avoid the possible rainbow effect.
I don't want to get into the DLP vs. LCD thing. :)
I am interested in the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 730HD seeing that this projector is 720p, what happens when I connect my Blu-Ray player to it and play a Blu-Ray movie which of course is 1080p?
I really like the specs on the projector...
The address's in question are not in the Outlook 2013 address book, but they weren't in the MS Live Mail either.
If I click Reply it comes up with some error basically saying there is no email address to send to.
Thanks
The name in the TO field is only the name and not underlined to indicate there is an email attached to it.
When I click Send, Outlook does not send it.
What you guys are describing is exactly how it works in Windows Live Mail.
In Windows Live Mail when I replied to an email I received the TO email address was inserted and everything worked fine.
In Outlook 2013 when I click reply, the email address in the TO field only shows the Name of the person and is not an Email Address. I have to then go into the email...
I would imagine that at least once in our lifetimes we ran across a situation were a parent says their kids are beautiful and you think to yourself:
- "That's a face only a mother could love"
So...is "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" a true statement?
PS: My little girl really...
