I bought this laptop two weeks ago and re-formatted. Before reformatting, I tried the de-crapifier, just to see how it did. It works fine, and removed about 80% of the junk.
To do the re-partitioning, reformatting, and reinstallation, I followed the instructions here...
I bought that Ablatron card from Newegg ($35, including shipping) for my Mythtv box and it works great. It took very little configuration (using KnoppMyth).
Thanks everyone for all the great info and recommendations. I just ordered a system and 6 games. As someone mentioned, the rumble packs are backordered, but they have the VMU's and extra controllers in stock.
At my local store, no coupons are required - this is their new regular price (I don't know if it's permanent or not). It applies to all movies (VHS, DVD) but not to games. Also, this is a store that has been around for years - it's not a grand opening.
I don't know if this is nationwide or just local, but my local Hollywood Video (Austin, TX) is offering all videos (inluding new releases) for 99 cents for 1 day (due back at midnight the next day). Each additional day is 99 cents. You still have the option of 5 days for 3.79.
I bought one of those for $4.99 at a Homier show. You can get them on-line for the same price (not including shipping).
Mine works as advertised. After a good shaking, it is about as bright as an LED keychain flashlight.

On the clearance table at Office Depot today, they had several good DVDs for $7.50, including Gladiator, Shrek, and a few others I can't remember. Catch Me if You Can was $9.50.
YMMV.
This looks like a good deal if the media is any good (Sky brand). Without the cases, the 100 DVD's are about $61 shipped. I'm going to try some of these.
They also have 1X for a little less and 4X for a little more.

That same site lets you download 10 per day for free ( http://www.patentfetcher.com/Patent-Fetcher-Form.php ).
Also, you can search and view patents for free at the Patent Office Website ( http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html ). You can't download from the Patent Office Website, buy you can...
OD has most of their Xmas gifts 50% off, including a Jwin 5.5" BW TV & radio for $9.91. YMMV.

I bought that system about a month ago. I'm no audio expert, but I think it sounds great. I use it in a small room. If you have a large room, or like it really loud, I would go for a better system. However, I think it is perfect for a bedroom, or just for a cheap great sounding system.
